Daily Racing Tips – Mackay Newmarket Handicap Day Special

Mackay - Race 1 12:37pm AEST
No. 5 Prince Of Morocco

Prince Of Morocco has raced well without winning during his career to date and he has an excellent chance to claim a maiden victory at Mackay this afternoon.

He found the line nicely at Rockhampton last start and he should take good improvement from that effort.

Chris Whiteley will settle him in the second half of the field from barrier 15 and he will be storming home late.

Mackay - Race 5 3:04pm AEST
No. 8 Gamboa

Gamboa is racing in outstanding form and he is deserving of his status as a clear favourite for this contest.

He has now recorded three wins from his four race starts and there is no doubt that he is the class horse in this field.

Carl Spry will have his hands full from barrier 14, but I still expect him to be too good for his rivals.

Mackay - Race 6 3:42pm AEST
No. 3 Rock 'N' Sol

Rock ‘N’ Sol has recorded two wins on the trot and there is no doubt that he is racing in career best form.

The turn-of-foot that he showed last start was particularly impressive and he has generally produced his best at this track.

Barrier two suits and he will have every possible chance in the run.

Mackay - Race 8 5:00pm AEST
No. 4 Brad

Brad is absolutely flying this campaign and he can score the biggest win of his racing career to date in the Mackay Newmarket Handicap.

He scored two wins on the trot and he flew home late to finish a close second behind Star Of O’Reilly in the Lightning Handicap last start.

Brad gets into this race much better at the weights and he can settle closer to the speed from barrier three.
