Nimalee has an excellent chance to return to winning form in the Matriarch Stakes.

1400 metres is his pet distance and Damian Lane should be able to settle him right on the speed in the early stages of this race.

Zaaki is a deserving favourite, but Cascadian is the x-factor in the Mackinnon Stakes.
He doesn’t win out of turn, but he wasn’t beaten far in either the Epsom Handicap or the Cantala Stakes.
It will be interesting to see how he fares over 2000 metres and he will be storming home late with Brett Prebble in the saddle.
Sejardan will prove very tough to beat in the Golden Gift.
He made his racing debut with an impressive win in the Breeders’ Plate and the form coming out of that race is generally strong.
The wide barrier draw isn’t ideal, but he does have speed and he can make it two wins from as many race starts.
