Feature racing returns to headquarters this Saturday afternoon with a stacked card of racing.

Benchmark 70 Handicap (1200m) - Race 1 12:35pm AEDT

Michelotti put together back to back wins during his last campaign at Ballarat and Sandown and then closed out the prep when finishing down the track at The Valley.

The apprentice will give some weight relief and he can run a race for us in the first race of the afternoon.

Three year old filly Cotel enters the second race on the program at headquarters with an unbeaten record in tact.

She was a winner on debut at Caulfield back in July and she again saluted when resuming at Cranbourne.

This is another step up in grade but she looks a capable young horse and with natural progression she will be competitive yet again.

Benchmark 84 Handicap (1600m) - Race 3 1:45pm AEDT

The Peter Moody trained Pounding is a horse that can certainly mix his form but he has a fair amount of ability on his day.

He put his best hoof forward last start when beaten half a length at Sandown and a repeat of that effort would see him going very close in this event.

Benchmark 70 Handicap (1800m) - Race 4 2:20pm AEDT

Confrontational made a long and sustained run at The Valley last start to score in impressive fashion on a rock hard track.

He was second in his only run at this track and distance and has drawn perfectly in barrier four.

Benchmark 84 Handicap (1200m) - Race 5 3:00pm AEDT

Invincible Caviar is obviously a really well bred mare but she is backing up the hype with some very good performances on the race track.

The daughter of Black Caviar has now won three of her four starts including a 1.75 length win at Pakenham last time out and she drops 2.5kgs on that performance.

This is another step up in class but she looks an open class galloper to my eye.

Listed JRA Trophy (2600m) - Race 6 3:40pm AEDT

Persan has been racing well right throughout this prep without winning but he looks well placed in this particular event.

He placed in the Group 2 Zipping Classic last time out behind former Melbourne Cup champ Vow And Declare and will appreciate the step back in class for this assignment.

Goes up just one kilo and should get a nice run in transit from the inside draw.

Listed Kensington Stakes (1000m) - Race 7 4:20pm AEDT

Esta La Roca is a short course specialist and six of her seven career wins have been over 1000m.

She finished within two lengths of the winner at The Valley in August and then had nine weeks in between runs when narrowly defeated last start behind Scissor Step.

She is much better on top of the ground so a dryer track is preferred and she will be required to carry just 54kg in this race.

Open Handicap (1400m) - Race 8 5:00pm AEDT

Corner Pocket kick had just the one start during his campaign when third in the Lsted Chautauqua Stakes at The Valley.

The six year old gelding was beaten three quarters of a length when resuming at Pakenham over 1200m and the step up to 1400m suits second up.

He has eight wins from 14 career starts and is four from five over 1400m.

2 Units Corner Pocket.

Benchmark 70 Handicap (1400m) - Race 9 5:40pm AEDT

Peter Moody saddles up four year old gelding Victory Bay in the last.

The son of So You Think went out as an even money favourite at Traralgon last start and looked the winner until he was nabbed late.

Any rain would harm his chances but he is every chance at finishing our day off on a winning note.
