Albion Park - Race 5 3:12pm AEST
No. 1 Amami to win

Amami was rolled as favourite here last week, but the run was full of merit as he had to park out over the short course with the leader and eventual winner Red Trix stomping out a big mile.

He jumps to the 2138m for the first time in his career, but he showed he has plenty of bottom to him after working hard in the run last time in fast fractions throughout.

He should lead or at worst end up trailing the handy mate Sista Bliss and whatever role he finds himself in he will be mighty hard to beat.

Albion Park - Race 6 3:47pm AEST
No. 1 Miss Mucho to win

Miss Mucho is a former WA-trained mare now under the care of Ron Sallis.

The stable has a great record with these horses sent over from the West and there is no doubt she will do a great job in the Sunshine State.

She hasn’t raced since late last year when down the track at Gloucester Park, but that was from a poor draw and a good guide to this is her win on that circuit back in September where she led them up from gate 1 and bolted in by a big margin.

She gets the perfect draw and race to make a winning QLD debut today.

Albion Park - Race 8 4:57pm AEST
No. 1 Ima Beach Babe to place

Ima Beach Babe is an honest mare who will find one or two of these a bit slick for her, but he does map particularly well from gate one with the speedy Girl From Rosedale to her outside.

She wasn’t far off them at Redcliffe last time without a great deal of luck and the best form pointer for this race is her game second to Miss Daytona this track and distance last month.

She looks a great place play today.

Albion Park - Race 9 5:24pm AEST
No. 8 Midnight Calm each way

There’s a couple of newcomers to QLD we will need to keep an eye on in Mr Mclaren and Classicmajor, but on exposed form and the way the race maps on paper Midnight Calm looks a super each way bet.

He was first up at Redcliffe three weeks ago where he got buried along the markers and never really got a proper look at them in the race won by Alta Revelry (Burns Bay led them up and ran third).

He should get the gun run behind Burns Bay today and with that kind of run in transit you know he’ll be right in the finish once he sees the passing lane.
