No. 8 Cleverly Ava

Cleverly Ava is building a good record over this course and distance having won two and placed once from four starts.

Two starts back the Reg Hazelgrove-trained bitch was electric from this box.

She flew out of the lids to quickly open up a big lead before going on to win by five-lengths in 22.80 seconds.

If she can again begin like a jet, she’ll be hard to hold out.

No. 4 Special Was It

Special Was It bounced back to her very best last start when winning over this course and distance by 2.5 lengths.

The Cyndie Elson-trained son of Magic Sprite jumped on terms from box 1 before railing up to find the front in the back straight and go on with it to win easily.

That was her quickest 395m time at Albion Park in a career that has seen her win 10 of 23 starts over the trip.

She has the box speed to lead, and she did beat most of these last start.

No.6 Waikarie Molly

Waikarie Molly is having her first start since turning in the boxes and playing no part in a race in July.

She clocked 23.11 seconds in a recent 395m trial and looks ready to add to her impressive record of four wins from five starts over the course and distance.

The Karen Kleinhams-trained bitch has the early speed to cross any field and should do that from box 6.

She’s clearly the best dog in the race and if she finds the front, she’ll be hard to beat.

No.7 Away Game

Away Game is a promising bitch that has won three of four starts.

The Angela Brown-trained chaser has been ultra impressive, winning her past two starts over this course and distance.

On each occasion she has exploded out of the boxes to win by 5.75 lengths.

She clocked 22.68 seconds in her most recent win and looks to be on an upward trend.
