No. 8 Special Cyndie

Special Cyndie has been very good in two runs back from a short break.

On each occasion, she ran the best time of the night when winning over 331m and then 395m here.

She finished off strongly in the most recent over 395m which suggests she’s ready to step up to 520m.

While her best time of 29.57 seconds was recorded three years ago, she has run under 30 seconds this year and that’s good enough to be winning this.

No. 7 Rocklea Earle

Rocklea Earle enters the Dave Brett Memorial Final looking to remain unbeaten after four starts.

The Selena Zammit-trained son of Barcia Bale won his first two starts over 395m in quick times before stepping up to this distance for the first time last start.

He handled it well, jumping quickly from box 3 to lead all the way in 30.11 seconds.

He’ll be better for the experience and has the early speed to counter box 7.

No. 1 Icy Eyes

Icy Eyes will appreciate dropping back to 600m after finding the 710m a stretch too far last start.

The Selena Zammit-trained bitch won over this course and distance four starts ago in a best of the night 34.78 seconds.

She has a good record from box 1 and has the early speed to get on the bunny.

If she does, then they’ll struggle to run her down.

No. 1 Where’s The Bar

Where’s The Bar returns to Albion Park for the first time since falling in August.

The Jemma Daley-trained dog has firmly put it behind him, going on to win three of his past four starts.

He’s been showing great box speed and led all the way over 520m at Ipswich in a time of 29.96 seconds.

He loves box 1 and will be hard to run down if he gets on the bunny.
