Ballarat - Race 1 6:54pm AEDT

No. 2 Sarah Starfish

Sarah Starfish has improved with each of her three career starts and looks ready to break through for her first win.

Last start the Simone Fisher-trained daughter of Aston Dee Bee began like a rocket to lead but was run down right on the winning post to finish a nose second over 390m at Warrnambool.

She has the early speed to lead from box 2 and should prove hard to catch.

Ballarat - Race 2 7:18pm AEDT

No. 2 Lady Julia

Lady Julia impressed in her debut win at Warrnambool over 390m.

The daughter of Bernardo mustered speed quickly to lead from box 8 before dashing clear to win by four lengths.

She’ll have taken benefit from her first race experience and looks ideally drawn in box 2.

She has the early speed to get on the lure and give them something to catch.

Ballarat - Race 4 8:00pm AEDT

No. 2 Follow The Band

Follow The Band looked the goods when winning his debut race over 450m at Warrnambool last start.

The Daniel Gibbons-trained dog showed good early speed to take up the running from box 4 and proved too strong, drawing clear late to win by 4.5 lengths.

He’ll have taken considerable improvement from that first hit out and has the early speed to find the rail from box 2.

If that eventuates, then he’ll be hard to beat.

No. 8 Mr Gleason

Mr Gleason ran into the talented Verdi last start at Bendigo when finishing eight lengths second.

The Anthony Azzopardi-trained dog has a great record from box 8 and won from the pink three starts ago when flying out of the lids to lead all the way and win by 2.5 lengths over 425m at Bendigo.

He should find this race an easier contest than what he’s been racing in lately.
