Bear’s Bullet jumped well over this course and distance last start but faded to finish fourth to Jay Is Jay in the Queensland Flame Final last week.
The Travis Elson-trained daughter of Fernando Bale had been in great form prior with three wins in a row including the Group 1 Ipswich Cup.
She boasts a personal best of 29.74 seconds over the course and distance which she recorded when jumping from box 2, the same position she’ll start from tonight.
She’s an electric beginner who can get find the front and give them something to catch.

No. 8 Blue Hornet
Blue Hornet has been a real beauty for trainer Ray Burman.
The son of Sennachie has a 50% winning strike-rate over this course and distance with one of those wins coming last start.
He settled handy before finding the front in the back straight and dashing clear to win in 34.77 seconds.
If he gets a clear run from box 8, he should prove hard to run down.
