Wentworth Park - Race 2 7:38pm AEDT

No. 1 Good Odds Cobber

Good Odds Cobber enters the opening heat of the Ladbrokes National Derby looking to keep his unbeaten record at Wentworth Park intact.

The son of Fernando Bale is low flying at the moment having won the Gosford Gold Cup last start.

Five starts back he recorded a personal best of 29.68 seconds when winning over this course and distance by a massive 10.5 lengths.

He should get on the arm from box 1 and be hard to run down.

Wentworth Park - Race 3 7:57pm AEDT

No. 4 Morton

Morton is pure class having won 11 of his 17 career starts.

The son of Tommy Shelby is having his first start at Wentworth Park but comes here in great form after leading all the way to win the Queensland Derby Final at Albion Park in 29.65 seconds last start.

He drew the squeeze that night and comes up with the blue rug here, but he has the necessary early speed to find the front.

Wentworth Park - Race 4 8:20pm AEDT

No. 1 Mepunga Shine

Mepunga Shine is having his first look at Wentworth Park but it shouldn’t pose a problem given he’s won eight of thirteen starts in multiple states.

The Jeff Britton-trained son of Shima Shine was last seen finishing second in a heat of the Queensland Derby.

Two starts back he led all the way to win the Group 1 Silver Chief Final.

He’s ideally drawn in box 1 to capitalise on his early speed and he won his only previous start when wearing the red rug.

Wentworth Park - Race 10 10:15pm AEDT

No. 5 Zipping Teresa

Zipping Teresa loves this course and distance having only been out of the top three once in 11 starts.

The Jason Magri-trained bitch is a regular sub 30 second runner here and enters this race looking to make it three wins in a row after winning in 29.81 and 29.88 seconds in her past two starts.

She’s a lethal frontrunner so if she finds the front she can earn her spot in the Ladbrokes National Futurity Final next week.
