No. 2 Spring Eureka

Spring Eureka can be a hit or miss proposition but when he’s on, he’s very good.

That was the case for the son of Fernando Bale last start when leading all the way from the cherry to win by 3.25 lengths in a slick 29.67 seconds.

That was his fourth win from nine starts and he looks well placed to add another ‘W’.

His best runs have been from inside draws and he will exit box 2 here.

No. 1 Au Contraire

Au Contraire was far from disgraced when meeting the talented Armatree Storm over this course and distance last start.

While she was no match for the winner who clocked 29.54 seconds, the Sam Sultana-trained bitch finished second and easily accounted for the rest of the field.

She won here three starts back when breaking 30 seconds and is the only dog in this field to achieve that feat.

She looks hard to hold out from box 1.

No. 3 Bell Mac Blazer

Bell Mac Blazer returned from a two month break in super style last start over this course and distance.

The daughter of Mepunga Blazer was taking on this distance for the first time and handled it with aplomb, going straight to the front and leading all the way in a best of the night 35.64 seconds.

She’ll have come on since that first-up run and draws nicely in box 3.

This is a strong field but if she leads again, she’ll be hard to catch.

No. 1 Fear The Dragon

Fear The Dragon is building a great record having won five of seven career starts.

The Michelle Sultana-trained dog flogged his rivals by nearly nine lengths when an odds on favourite at Wentworth Park last start.

Two starts back he showed great race craft to weave a passage before dashing clear to win his first start over this course and distance in 29.87 seconds.

He’s undefeated in two starts from box 1 and just has to be handy early to be finishing over the top of them.
