Gosford - Race 4 8:03pm AEDT

No. 8 Kettle Head

Kettle Head was a hard luck story when taking on this course and distance for the first time last start.

The Peter Lagogiane-trained dog stumbled out of the boxes before copping a check when looking to go past the leader on the home turn.

To his credit he charged late to just miss the win, recording a time of 29.86 seconds.

He’ll be better for the experience and looks hard to beat if he avoids trouble.

No. 6 Like Wildfire

Like Wildfire comes north from Victoria for a crack at the $25k on offer in the Ladbrokes Summer Six Hundred Series.

The Robert Britton-trained dog has won his past two starts with his most recent race resulting in a best of the night win over 595m at Sandown.

He started his career in New South Wales and won all three starts over this course and distance in that time.

The talented chaser has a best of 33.96 seconds and if he gets near that time, he’ll be tough to hold out.

Gosford - Race 7 9:11pm AEDT

No. 1 Fahey’s Magic

Fahey’s Magic is a Queensland bitch having her first look at Gosford.

The daughter of Magic Sprite has gone to a new level since rising to this distance.

While she tasted defeat last start, prior to that she won the Group 1 Golden Sands Final three starts back before recording a personal best at Albion Park of 34.84 seconds two starts ago.

She’s drawn the prized box 1 and if she gets on the arm early, they’ll be hard pressed to run her down.

No. 4 Father Rick

Father Rick is racing in great form at the moment with four wins from his past five starts.

The son of Fernando Bale won four in a row including the Group 3 Sir John Dillon Memorial at Sandown three starts back.

His winning streak ended last start when he was run down by Fahey’s Magic in the Golden Sands Final at Albion Park, where he finished 1.5 lengths second.

He can cross and lead from box 4.
