No. 8 Canya Amy

Canya Amy is a Victorian chaser having her first start over this course and distance.

The daughter of Sennachie has been racing in great fettle and her form jumps off the page for this Free For All.

Last start she went within a head of claiming the Group 1 Sandown Cup and five starts back she ran second in the Group 1 Association Cup Final at Wentworth Park over 720m.

She’s undefeated when jumping from box 8 and looks well placed to keep that record intact.

No. 3 Lakeview Emily

Lakeview Emily was unlucky not to win the Flying Amy Classic over this course and distance last start when copping a solid check heading into the first turn.

To her credit, she fought back bravely and ran on strongly to finish a close third.

The Tony Brett-trained bitch was very good two starts back in her heat of the Flying Amy when clocking a slick 29.72 seconds in just her first race here.

She can lead this field from box 3 and if that eventuates, she’ll prove hard to run down.

Albion Park - Race 7 8:34pm AEST

No. 7 Valpolicella

It seems wrong not to back Queensland’s star stayer Valpolicella in the Origin Greyhound Series Distance Final.

The Tony Zammit-trained daughter of Shima Shine has an amazing record over this course and distance, boasting 10 wins and three placings from 14 starts with her only unplaced run coming last start when having no luck.

Two starts back she led all the way when winning by a massive 11.5 lengths in a sizzling 41.67 seconds.

If she enjoys an uninterrupted passage, she should prove hard to hold out.

No. 3 Jay Is Jay

Local hero Jay Is Jay looks hard to go past in the Origin Greyhound Series Match Race.

The Selena Zammit-trained son of Sennachie won this race last year for the Queenslanders when he toweled up Simply Limelight in 29.50 seconds.

He’s won 18 of 29 starts over this course and distance and owns the track record of 29.35 seconds and just three starts ago he stopped the clock in an electric 29.39 seconds.

While Mackenna is quick early, I doubt she can hold out Jay Is Jay late.
