Geelong - Race 1 2:10pm AEDT
No. 7 Crater Lake

Crater Lake has been placed in three of her four race starts and there’s a lot to like about her here at Geelong.

A daughter of The Autumn Sun, she has continued to improve with each outing and looks well suited out to this trip.

Two starts back she was holdup approaching the turn but worked home solidly into third at her first try over 2000m.

Up to 2200m last time she was set alight 800m from home and was just collared late but held a clear margin back to third.

She’s fit and if she can slot in and find cover early, she’s sure to be strong late.

Geelong - Race 3 3:20pm AEDT
No. 7 Maycomb

Maycomb could only manage third when resuming as a short price favourite at Pakenham but I’m confident she can get the job done here.

The Chris Waller trained filly just had the one run last campaign where she produced a very encouraging effort to charge home from the tail into second.

When kicking off over 1400m last start she again settled back at the rear and worked home strongly to claim third.

She will have taken improvement from the run and the 1425m assignment looks ideal.

Geelong - Race 5 4:30pm AEDT
No. 13 Macha

Macha returns to the races.

With just the three career starts, the I Am Invincible filly showed promise at her second outing where she was beaten only narrowly over 1212m at Benalla.

She then headed to Sandown where she stepped out over 1500m on the Hillside but was found to be lame post race.

She comes here off two solid jump outs and draws to get the right run under Jordan Childs.

Sandown - Race 8 6:10pm AEDT
No. 1 Rezone

Rezone strips fitter for the two runs back and drops sharply in grade at Sandown.

The Dundeel gelding just felt the pinch late when resuming in very heavy conditions at Rosehill but it was a solid performance to finish less than four lengths from the winner.

He then stepped out to 2000m in a strong BM88 and travelled wide for before settling back at the tail and never got into it.

The drop back in trip looks ideal and the low draw can see him settle closer in the run under Jett Stanley, who’ll take 1.5kgs off.
