A big night in the NBA with our Wednesday tips and best bets focusing on a key Eastern Conference showdown between the Celtics and Knicks from Madison Square Garden.
The Grizzlies are off to a hot start on this road trip with two straight wins over the Pistons and Heat to their name. Cross conference games have been a good spot to play on Memphis as they have gone 18-11 against the spread and 20-10 overall. Charlotte, meanwhile, have given up over 120 points in its last two games against Sacramento and Chicago, so this is looks like a nice game for Ja Morant and company to put up a crooked score.
Tip: Grizzlies to Cover (-13.5 Points)
There might be a slight edge on the Celtics here with the Knicks playing their third game in four days. New York won back-to-back games against the Hawks and Suns over the weekend, but the Celtics have largely been their kryptonite with the Knicks’ last win at the Garden over Boston coming way back in 2023. The likes of Jalen Brunson and Jayson Tatum have popped up on the injury report as day to day, but with the Celtics sporting only –2.5 at the line, I still think they are a good bet to cover.
Tip: Celtics to Cover (-2.5)
The Clips roll in off a two-day spell looking to take full advantage of this wounded Spurs team that has lost a couple of games leading in. Lawhi Leonard is questionable with a knee injury, but LA still looks a nice play sporting a 8-4 record at the line off a break of two or more days.
