  • 4 – Floppa
  • 5 – Shez Chanel

R5 – 7:00pm – Cottrells Electrical 3yo Pace – 2190m

  • 8 – Zenario
  • 7 – McWizard
  • 4 – Miki Loch
  • 6 – Atomic Black

Strategy:

Zenario was excellent first-up following a couple of sharp trials, especially considering he tackled a much deeper race than what he faces here. His 2YO form has clearly held up into this season, and while the draw is a touch tricky, expect James Herbertson to ease him into the contest and launch at the right time. He’s a big player.

BACK: 8 Zenario – 4.5 Units (win)

R6 – 7:30pm – Goodfellows Car & Truck Rentals Pace – 2190m

  • 3 – Sea Hawke
  • 5 – Bet Sheza Lady
  • 1 – Dancingonstarlight
  • 9 – Loyola Spiaggia

Strategy:

Sea Hawke brings winning momentum into this race with three straight victories, including a strong staying effort over a similar trip last time. Although he came off a sit on that occasion, he’s consistently shown gate speed, which allows him to settle handy. With James Herbertson now taking the reins, he looks a serious threat again.

BACK: 6 Sea Hawke – 2 Units (win)

R7 – 8:00pm – VHRC Black Horse Naturals Pace – 2190m

  • 7 – Lily Lotus
  • 1 – Major Bert
  • 5 – Dun Me Up Francy
  • 2 – Im Wesley

Strategy:

Lily Lotus resumes here off a standout 3YO campaign where she won three of four starts, running sharp times along the way. She’s had just one quiet trial into this, and from the draw she’s likely to be driven conservatively early. That could play perfectly into the hands of Mark Pitt, who can time his run late. Hoping for a price due to the barrier which may create some value.

BACK: 7 Lily Lotus – 3.5 Units (win)

R8 – 8:30pm – VHRC Del Re National Foods Pace – 2190m
