The Australian Darts Masters is back on Friday 8 and Saturday 9 August 2025 at the WIN Entertainment Centre, bringing Sport’s Biggest Party to Australia. Eight of the world’s elite PDC players will face off against eight of the best talents from Oceania, and we’ve got the full preview and best bets below!
Round 1
Last year only Haupai Puha managed to win more than two legs.
Focus is the issue for the top pros but won’t be an issue for Mike De Decker making a rare World Series appearance.
Tip: Mike De Decker 6-1
Joe Comito is one of only three locals to return from the 2024 Aussie Masters.
He lost 6-1 to Luke Humphries, averaging 70.11. Price is defending his crown and will lose two legs max here.
Tip: Gerwyn Price 6-1
Stephen Bunting is the one PDC player taking this year’s Australian Darts Masters immensely seriously. He is here without family.
He has been the best performed player this season in World Series events.
Klinge comes off averaging 57.72 in the Geelong Dart Club Classic.
Tip: Stephen Bunting 6-0
Luke Humphries is the No.1 in the world but he was far from his best in recent tournaments.
Jonny Tata is flying off a win in the NZ Open and an average of 109.31 in Christchurch earlier in the year.
Tata can push Cool Hand.
Tip: Luke Humphries 6-3
Damon Heta has the 11th best average on the PDC since June 1, averaging 96.
No player is more patriotic and Heta won his opener 6-0 last year.
James Bailey is a veteran whose best days are well behind him.
Tip: Damon Heta 6-1
Kiwi arrowsmith Haupai Puha was the shining light of the locals last year, taking Rob Cross to a deciding leg.
He recently took Mensur Sujlovic to 6-5.
Luke Littler is the best player on the planet, but his World Series form leaves a bit to be desired heading into the Australian Darts Masters.
Tip: Luke Littler 6-3
Josh Rock is arguably the form player on the planet, coming off a World Cup win and a World Matchplay semi-final and being one of two players to average over 100 since June 1.
The Wizard is a legend of Australian darts but lost 6-1 to Peter Wright.
The 56yo has been struggling in senior and Modus events.
Tip: Josh Rock 6-2
Chris Dobey has not played a lot of World Series so expect him to be one of the more focused.
He is averaging just under 96 since June.
Tim Pusey averaged sub-80 in recent last 16 losses at the Pit To Port Classic.
Tip: Chris Dobey 6-0
Very keen to take on Luke Littler at just over even money. He has shown very little interest in the World Series this year.
In the five events this season, Littler has not reached a final, losing in the quarters three times and semis twice, all as notable upsets.
Josh Rock is certainly one of the form players on the planet. He is averaging 100.85 since June 1, putting him behind only Littler, while he ranks fifth in checkout percentage.
He is on the Littler side of the draw but after a stunning run in the World Matchplay, he looks a lovely bet.
There have been six 170 checkouts at the last three World Series with The Big Fish falling three times in Poland.
The World Series is as much show as it is competition so nobody will pass up the opportunity to land the big one.
Josh Rock is a prolific 180 hitter who has thrown 111 since June 1.
If he goes as far in the tournament as fancied, he is a huge hope of throwing the most 180s and the double digits is well worth the speculation.
