WINNER
EUROPE
It is a little surprising to see Europe as such pronounced outsiders.
Team Europe have won 10 of the last 14 Ryder Cups including a dominant 16.5-13.5 win in Rome in 2023.
Europe is also the only team this century to win on foreign soil, twice winning in the United States (in 2004 and 2012).
More important though is the continuity Team Europe bring in.
They have a better culture, and they return 11 of 12 from Rome with the only change Rasmus Hojgaard, who was close to the team in 2023, replacing his brother Nicolai.
This will not be a new setup while the US have a young captain who arguably should be playing as well as four rookies.
Europe are huge overs.
TOP SCORER
UNITED STATES
RUSSELL HENLEY
The key to Russell Henley here is his likely pairing with world No.1 Scottie Scheffler.
The pair were put together for both foursomes at the Presidents Cup last year and Keegan Bradley has hinted they will play together again.
They have been practicing together and were grouped together at the Procore Championship.
Henley picked up three points from four outings and is a great value play as he is all class but benefits from the suck run behind Scheffler.
EUROPE
TOMMY FLEETWOOD
Tommy Fleetwood made his name as a Ryder Cupper at Le Golf National in 2018 with a 4-1 record when paired with Francesco Molinari in the famed ‘Mollywood’ grouping.
He has since built a sublime Ryder Cup record with seven wins, two ties and three losses in 12 outings.
He went 3-1 at Marco Simone and has never entered in better form after winning the PGA Tour Championship.
He is unbeaten in foursomes and a likely pairing with Rory McIlroy makes him a very confident bet.
TOP ROOKIE
RUSSELL HENLEY
Clearly very keen on Henley as he is the pick for Top US Scorer.
The safest way to play him though is to top the rookie list. He will almost certainly play the most of the five and gets a huge benefit of playing predominantly with Scottie Scheffler.
This is close to the best bet of the Ryder Cup.
TOP CAPTAIN’S PICK
Ludvig Aberg looks to have a game made for matchplay and he has certainly lifted on the biggest stages, building a lovely major record while going 2-2 in his Ryder Cup debut in Rome.
Aberg won both his foursomes matches when pairing with fellow Scandinavian Viktor Hovland, again set to be a feature pairing for Europe.
TOP PROPS
DAY 1 FOURSOMES WINNER – EUROPE
At the last Ryder Cup, it was the foursomes where Europe broke the United States.
Europe won 4-0 on Day 1 and followed up 3-1 on Day 2, very confident that the pricing in this is completely wrong.
1ST US PLAYER OUT SINGLES
XANDER SCHAUFFELE
Schauffele was first out in the Presidents Cup last year and was the first out at the 2021 Ryder Cup, the last on home soil.
He is big odds with the expectation Scottie Scheffler will be first away.
