Wyong takes centre stage this weekend when ten races at headlined by the $500k The Lakes.
The rail will be left in the true position around the entire course and we’re expecting to be racing on a track rated in the Good (4) range.
Read on for my complete Wyong best bets, including The Lakes tips!
Tigroni is third up and ready to break her maiden at Wyong.
Having trialled up nicely in November, the Tiger Of Malay filly hit the line to finish second on debut at Rosehill and was last seen filling the minors over 1100m at Randwick.
Fitter third-up, this looks to be the weakest task she’s been set so far.

All Adore has returned to the races in sharp form and rates as a key chance in the Highway Handicap.
The Nick Olive-trained filly has won two of three starts back this time, bouncing back from a near miss at Kembla Grange with a dominant victory at the Sapphire Coast last time out.
In peak order, this is a great opportunity for her to win in town.

Charleroi is another one that steps out this week in peak order and looks well placed to win on his home track.
Charleroi is yet to strike in three runs back from a break, but he has continued to improve as his fitness has built, and he was last seen filling the minors over a mile at Randwick, amongst company not dissimilar to that he meets this week.
He does rise a few kilos in the weights, but he has drawn ideally and should get every chance under Kerrin McEvoy.

Sounds Unusual is primed to strike third up from a spell.
His first up run with fair without threatening and saw him finishing four lengths off the pace over 1400m at Rosehill.
Having stripped fitter and relished getting out to the mile at Randwick a fortnight ago, he’s open to further improvement and will appreciate another rise in trip this week.

Mogo Magic gets back to far more ideal conditions at Wyong on Saturday.
The talented sprinter was pushed out to 1550m last time out and after taking up the running, he simply did not see out the trip.
With the benefit of four weeks between starts and dropping back down to 1200m, this is a far more appropriate target for him, and we can have an each way play at the generous price ($13 at publish).

Beside The Ocean was excellent fresh from a break and can continue her rise through the grades on The Lakes Day.
The Zoustar filly made just two appearances at the races during her debut prep, but after only just missing in maiden company at Randwick-Kensington, she was a dominant winner in metro maiden company.
Having picked up where she left off when sneaking home over 1000m at Randwick on Boxing Day, we know she improves noticeably with a run under her belt, and I can’t find a reason why she won’t be in the finish again.

Sequista has returned to the races in fine form and rates as a key winning chance again.
The D’Argento filly worked home well to only just miss here at her first run back in November, but she proved too good at Gosford second up, greeting the judge more than five lengths ahead of her closest rivals.
Having filled the minors when up in grade at Randwick last time, she was clearly far from disgraced, and this looks a great opportunity for her to record a metro quality win.

Accredited finds the right race at Wyong this week.
He is unlucky not to have already struck during his four appearances this season, and Accredited has found form around some very handy opposition in featured company.
From an inside alley this time and dropping in class, he won’t have any excuses.

Know Thyself rates as a key winning chance in The Lakes.
The talented son of The Autumn Sun has won eight of his twelve career starts to date, and he was largely unwanted in the market at Randwick first up from a spell, he hit the line for a tough victory.
With natural improvement, we know he’s up to the grade and he’s proven here at Wyong.

Cross Tasman chases a hat-trick in the last on The Lakes Day.
Cross Tasman hit the line to win over 1250m at Randwick-Kensington fresh from a break, and he franked that performance with a dominant effort on the main track at Randwick on Boxing Day.
Fitter third-up, something like this looks the next logical target.
