A wet day awaits at Sandown on Wednesday with eight races scheduled.
The track is rated a Soft 7 with more rain to come and the rail out 3m at time of writing.
It looks to be a big day for some promising juveniles on display from leading stables, with our best bet coming up in Race 6 with a smart filly out of Grahame Begg’s yard.

MISS LOLA (12) looks to have returned a treat for Chris Waller and company.
It’s just about D-Day for this eight-start maiden, but she did run on nicely to finish a narrow runner-up at Moe last start over the same trip after finding the box seat early on.
By Blue Point, she’ll carry an extra 1.5kg for her trouble, but she does appear suited by another wet track with Ben Melham taking over now.
STAYINHARMONY (10) was far from disgraced on debut at Warrnambool nearly a month ago when running on okay for fifth on a shifty track.
Maddie Raymond and Patrick Bell’s gelding was sent around at double figures upon blowing the start and working home from the tail.
He’s drawn a similar assignment here with another wide gate to his name and should find the slightly firmer condition acceptable with a handy trial between runs.
FOIRE DE TRONE (3) warrants another look after failing to handle the heavy track at the ‘Bool last start.
Ciaron Maher’s mare was slow away and a long way back on her way to finishing 11 lengths off, a disappointing effort after bolting in to win here on the Lakeside track first-up from a decent spell.
She’ll go better on a softer track on Wednesday and gets in nicely at the weights thanks to the 3kg apprentice claim.
ARDASHIR (5) should be settling somewhere close to the speed from the inside gate.
He was denied his hat-trick at Warrnambool last start on a very wet track but still deserves big respect after putting away a smart field at Pakenham the start prior.
He had excuses from wider out last start and looks a serious threat here off a four-week gap with Lachlan Neindorf returning to the saddle.
We’re getting a nice price for the Reece Goodwin-trained LOVELYCUT (3).
This lightly-raced four-year-old hasn’t done much wrong in 12 starts, taking on tougher races than this recently where she’s notably run second at Flemington two back over the same trip.
She’ll love this slight drop back in class and is always a major threat with some cut out of the ground.
BIOLOGICS (1) looks hard to beat if she handles the wet track.
The daughter to I Am Invincible was all class when resuming at Werribee three weeks ago, overcoming an awkward start and a five-wide position to stoke up approaching the turn and win by close to two lengths in the end.
She cops an extra 1.5kg in the saddle, but out over longer now, this looks a nice race for her to make another statement.
ASTIQUER (10) looks to be a serious filly in the making for the Hayes boys.
We saw her come out and win smartly on debut at Cranbourne in April, before heading to Bendigo to contest a Class 1 where she was within two lengths of the winner Clevor Trever, who has since gone on to win at Saturday grade.
Keep in mind she was held up badly in that race, so providing she handles the sting out of the track, she should be right there when it matters with Luke Currie still piloting from an ideal gate.
RIPROAR (6) hasn’t won in a long time but does deserve a look each-way after finding the line quite well for third at Sale last start, albeit in a small field.
He’s one of the better wet trackers in this field with Ben Allen engaged and looks well-suited getting out over 1200m off another four-week break.
Open to improvement now and likely to settle in behind the speed, he’s capable of grabbing a place in an open race.
