Albion Park Harness Preview – Tuesday 21st July

SWEET LEAH JANE (4) was excellent on debut when working very hard to attempt to hold the lead early at Redcliffe before handing over to Fan The Flame and running straight by that horse in the concluding stages. She has good gate speed and may be able to press forward and find a prominent position.

AUNTY MEL (1) was able to win her latest start at Bathurst. She trialled well behind Parisian Hustler running second beating a horse that won first up in QLD Usual Suspect. She should run well from a good draw.

CRUSEY (5) trialled up well recently at Albion Park behind Maywyn Son of Lou. She has had one race start and was able to sit without cover at Mildura and prove too good there. She should run well.

WANNABE WICKED (2) secured the right run last time out and was able to cling on for third there. She is getting better and can look for a similarly economical run in this race.

PARISIAN HUSTLER (7) has trialled up well in preparation for his return in this race. Two starts ago he was impressive sitting outside Yippe Kiyay and running third. He draws wide again and may need to do the work first up but still looks hard to beat.

MAYWYN SON OF LOU (2) scored a dominant recent trial win at this track winning by 14 metres. He showed good ability last campaign and looks ready to make a strong return in this race from a good draw.

DOUBLEFAULT (3) went around a short priced favourite last time out when debuting having trialled up behind Protostar winner Havtimemajor. He set a strong tempo out in front and was able to battle on well enough for fourth. He should run well having derived benefit from his latest outing.

ROCKY HUNTER (1) contested a strong race last time out taken out by Jackwill Kid. He has good gate speed and should be able to hold a prominent position early in the race.

ALDEBARAN SUE (8) bumped into the talented trotter Squamish first up from a spell at this track in a race the winner rated a slick 1.56 for the 2138. She is likely to have derived good benefit from the outing and looks well placed in a slightly weaker field.

ALADDIN SANE (5) made a break last time out and took no competitive part in the race after that. He has been racing well and is familiar with starting from big handicaps. He looks reasonably well handicapped coming off 20 metres in this field.

GAZ MAN (9) ran well last time out after having no luck in the run. He was shuffled back to last giving the eventual winner Cascata a big start and was able to get within a length late running second.

LIZZIES SON (2) trialled up nicely recently at Marburg appearing to run through the line well late. That effort followed up a nice second in a trial at Redcliffe. He should run well.

SASSABA (1) has been excellent this campaign running well in better fields. He has reasonable gate speed and a good draw in this race to potentially drive through and lead. He should be hard to beat.

MISTER SEASIDE (6) made a strong start in QLD last time out when well driven to save ground and run second to Ourbeachgirlmaywyn at this track. He draws wide again in this race and may be shuffled back early.

BENNYDASOOK (4) won impressively last time out. He was taken back in the early stages before working to the breeze and just proving too strong for Rally Around. He draws awkwardly but does have gate speed and showed last time out he is capable of working.

ROCKY WINE (2) has excellent gate speed and draws to have options in this race whether to go down to the pegs early or to look to cross. Should get a good run other wise and can figure in the finish with the right run.

SUGGESTED BET: SASSABA (1) to win.

NO FAMILY LIKEMINE (1) was scratched recently in a race he was set to make his stable debut in at Marburg. He could be a big improver in this race and does draw ideally. Looks hard to beat.

POCKET BOOK (8) should get a good run through in the early stages of the race. She has been building so far this campaign and was able to run a good fourth last time out despite starting outside the back row.

BLUE BLOODZ (2) elected to hand up the lead and run a good second to Goodolboysandbeer not beaten far. He has a great draw in this race and should be close in the run. He should run well again.

THE REAL ROCKETMAN (9) had a tough run last time out when sitting without cover at Redcliffe. He should secure a much softer run this time on the pegs and can bounce back.

SUGGESTED BET: POCKET BOOK (8) each way.

ROYAL PRINCESS (3) has good gate speed and should be able to work across to the lead in the early stages of the race. She led three starts ago and set a strong tempo over the 2138. The 1660 looks more suitable.

BETTOR CHEER (2) settled close to the speed last time out and battled away well for fourth behind Always Adorned. He should get a good run again from the draw and can figure in the finish.

MINI MINE YET (1) has a great draw in this race and can sit close to the speed without doing too much work early. She was a winner three starts ago when able to run over the top late.

MONOPOLLIE (9) started from a poor draw last time out and finished the race off nicely getting into fourth behind Mullum Doc. He should settle closer this time and it looks an easier race.

COSMIC FLYER (6) raced off the speed last start in the JC McMullen which was taken out by a really smart one in Always B Cool. He doesn’t have brilliant gate speed but can look to press forward and race in a prominent position.

RACE FOR RICHES (11) secured a good run behind Mahindi last start and was able to sprint well to score late. He draws poorly this time and will need to work or could be shuffled a long way back.

LANAI (9) was forced very wide on the track last time out in a race taken out by RACE FOR RICHES (11). He has been racing in good form and would appreciate a genuinely run race which could see him running into the finish late.

JOHN WAYNE (1) doesn’t have brilliant gate speed but does find a race without any brilliant beginners which should see him able to drive through and leads before having options. He ran a very good race last start when sitting without cover and battling on to run second to My Ultimate Cossie.

INTERPRETATION (10) was very impressive in a recent trial behind Flashing Red winner Regazzo Di Tilly. She draws awkwardly in this race outside the back row and will likely need things to go her way in the run. She looks hard to beat.

MAHINDI (9) has been in brilliant form. She led last time out rolling a strong tempo the whole way when run down late by Race For Riches who had the cold sit on her back. She draws the back row this time but can’t be ruled out the way she has been racing.

RATATATTAT (8) should get a good run through in the early stages of the race. He got back and was running on late last start in a race taken out by Dolly Rocket. He should be running on late.

ALTA SENSATION (3) has good gate speed and seems to do his best work when up close to the speed. He ran two good seconds when finding the lead two and three starts ago and can look to do the same in this race.

SUGGESTED BET: INTERPRETATION (10) to win.

BLUTO (6) has most recently done his racing in the stable of Gary Hall Jnr in WA. He was able to win three starts ago in good time after starting from a 60 metres handicap at Pinjarra. He is a horse best known for his sit sprinting capacity but does land in the powerful stable of Jason Grimson first up and is likely to be hard to beat despite the awkward draw.

WHOS DELIGHT (5) contested two Inter Dominion heats when seemingly running well both times despite drawing poorly. In his second heat he had little luck when shuffled back and was impeded by Fighter Command when he went roughly. He ran well enough last start in a race Heza Punk Rocker rated fast time. If he pressed to the lead he’d be very hard to beat.

O B LEGAL (1) has very good gate speed and should be able to lead in the early stages of the race from the good draw. He was able to duck in and find the pegs last time out before battling on well behind Son Of Anarchy. He draws favourably and should run well again.

MY ULTIMATE FLYNN (8) got back in the run last time out and couldn’t get into the race when wide on the track behind the in form Hes No Romeo. He should get a good run through early and can be running on late.
