Newcastle Knights vs Gold Coast Titans Prediction, Tips & Odds

The Knights can all but confirm their place in the playoffs with a win over a Titans side that has gone off the boil.  

FORM: The sixth-placed Knights have won their last two games against the Broncos (30-6) and Raiders (30-24) on the road.   

The Titans form surge has come to a grinding halt, crashing 42-6 to the Warriors and 30-8 to the Cowboys at home in the past fortnight.  

INS AND OUTS: The Knights get Bradman Best and Phoenix Crossland back. Lachlan Ilias has been named at halfback and AJ Brimson at centre for the Titans.  

KEY MATCH-UP: The incumbent Kiwis fullback, Keano Kini, will have a point to prove opposite the player likely to usurp him for the World Cup, Kalyn Ponga.  

HISTORY: The Knights have won four of their last six against the Titans, responding to twin losses – that played a big role in consigning them to the 2025 wooden spoon – with a 36-12 cruise at Magic Round this season.   

KEY STAT: Six of the last eight Knights-Titans encounters produced totals of 48-plus.  

VERDICT: After navigating some big injury setbacks, the Knights showed plenty of character on the road over the past fortnight to say in the Top 4 mix. Returning to Newcastle – where they boast five wins and a one-point loss to the Roosters from their past six – is a huge advantage.  

The Titans have barely fired a shot in the past two rounds after a very encouraging period. They’ve had their moments interstate this year, but the Zane Harrison injury really seems to knocked the wind out of their sails.
