Daily Racing Tips – Friday 2nd October

Scroll down for our Friday Racing Tips on October 2nd, including Cranbourne best bets!

Cranbourne: Race 1
No. 12 Swift Star

SWIFT STAR (9) is second up and open to plenty of improvement at Cranbourne this evening.

She’s only made one competitive appearance at the races, but after trialling up fairly, Swift Star worked home well to finish second behind an impressive Handee on the Caulfield Heath track last month.

She strips fitter for that experience and can begin her journey through the grades.

Cranbourne R1 – The Valley @ Southside Cranbourne Mdn Plate
Open Race time:
12. Swift Star (9)
J: Ethan Brown 55kg
2 T: Lloyd Kennewell
At debut, 2nd of 12 in a 3yo F Mdn-Sw at Caulfield Heath on September 16 over 1100m, 2.5 len behind Handee with 57kg at $7. Will take a lot from that hitout and is a key runner.

Cranbourne: Race 2
No. 2 Valaroso

VALAROSO (11) is another second up galloper I’m keen to be with at Cranbourne.

Valaroso debuted with a credible performance to finish sixth in the VOBIS Showdown at Caulfield back in March before immediately being tipped out, while he couldn’t have done a lot more without winning on the Caulfield Heath when resuming.

He too is open to plenty of improvement and can go one better this evening.

Cranbourne: Race 4
No. 6 The Speed Machine

THE SPEED MACHINE (8) returns to action in a winnable Ladbrokes 55 Second Challenge Heat.

He has only made three appearances at the races so far, but The Speed Machine stamped himself as one to watch during his debut prep, winning first and second up before finishing midfield in The Gold Rush at Bendigo.

Having trialled up well, he can hit the ground running tonight.

Cranbourne: Race 5
No. 8 Parcae

PARCAE (2) can keep alive an unbeaten record tonight at Cranbourne.

The Blue Point filly trialled up well and put the writing on the wall with an easy win at Mornington last time.

While this is a rise in class, she’s got plenty of upside and can go on with it.
