Dark Noise chases a hat-trick tonight.
Having returned to winning form over 440m at Goulburn two starts back, Dark Noise franked that performance with a dominant one to get up over this route last week.
From the low draw, she can go can forward and give herself every chance again tonight.
| 2. Dark Noise (2) 85411T: Denice Warren | |||
| Lifted to win two runs back and scored again last start over 520m at this track (29.84,) beating Impress Moana. Top chance to chalk-up the hat-trick. | |||
Vodka And Ice gets a nice opportunity to win tonight.
Several of the son of Fernando Bale’s recent performances have suggested another victory is imminent, and he was only just denied two and three runs back, both times over this route.
From the low draw, he should be able to find a nice position in the run and power home.
| 2. Vodka And Ice (2) 46226T: Caroline Hughes | |||
| Missed the frame last time but was in the minors two on end prior to that, the most recent when second (42.12) over 720m at this track. Aided by a low draw but looks a each way chance only this field. | |||
I’m keen to have something on Swift Wind tonight at Wentworth Park.
Swift Wind has won four of her last five starts, bouncing back from a luckless miss with an eye-catching victory over 515m at Gosford last time out.
If she can find some clear air and is close enough over the back straight, she’ll be very hard to hold out again.
| 7. Swift Wind (7) 11171T: David Smith | |||
| Good effort to score just four days ago over 515m at Gosford by half a length in a Grade 5. Can make it two on the bounce. | |||
I thought that Shirley’s Ethics looked well placed in the penultimate race at Wenty tonight.
She’s been racing without luck in recent weeks, but Shirley’s Ethics turned in plenty of sharp performances prior to that, finding form around some above average opposition.
If she steps well and finds her way to the rail, I think she’ll be in this for a long way.
| 4. Shirley’s Ethics (4) 51446T: David Smith | |||
| At the last outing finished 6th in a Grade 5 on August 8 over 520m at this track behind Bank Keeping beaten 19 lengths (31.13). Leading chance on best form. | |||
