INDAMOUSE (3) has been hindered by wide barriers this preparation but now draws perfectly and gets a great chance to break his Maiden.
The David Vandyke-trained gelding found the line strongly over 1200m from a long way back first-up at the Sunshine Coast to finish fourth, beaten 2.3 lengths.
It was a similar scenario last start over 1400m at Eagle Farm, where he recorded the fastest final 400m despite being held up late to finish fourth, beaten 1.2 lengths.
Ryan Maloney has a tremendous record on Vandyke horses and can settle closer from the good barrier.

AGADOO (8) has not had a lot go right since coming north from Tasmania, but she now gets Ladbrokes Stradbroke Handicap-winning jockey Taylor Marshall on board.
The Aiden Nunn-trained mare was slow away two starts ago at Eagle Farm but finished strongly in restricted room to finish second, beaten 1.53 lengths.
She loomed ominously last start over 1200m here but ran into a roadblock and lost all momentum before coming again to finish in the placings.
The rise to 1350m looks ideal, and Taylor Marshall will hopefully push pineapple and shake the tree from barrier 4.

COMPEL (2) debuts here and looks ready to produce a bold showing.
The Chris & Corey Munce-trained filly has had two trials leading into this first-up assignment, with the first hit-out producing a solid piece of work.
She looked super in her most recent trial, stalking the leader before letting down strongly under her own steam to win comfortably in good time by a length.
Ryan Maloney remains in the saddle following that trial win, and with blinkers going on, I expect him to drive forward.

WEOWNACHEVY (11) was narrowly beaten on debut by Why Wait, who recently returned a winner to remain undefeated and frank the form.
The Andrew Parramore-trained gelding was sent for a spell following that runner-up finish and produced a good first-up performance last month when finishing third, beaten 1.87 lengths, behind Exceed The Sale, who looks a handy type.
He has since been back to the trials, where he hit the line hard from near the back to win impressively.
Bella Youngberry’s 3kg claim is advantageous, and the gun apprentice should be able to give him a great run on speed.

QUICKZOU (3) resumes here and has raced well fresh in the past, but he also looks to have been primed by Tony Gollan for a bold first-up showing.
The son of Zoustar has looked to have plenty in hand in two trials leading into this, cruising to the line under a hold to finish close placings over 1000m here.
He raced in stronger company than this last preparation and gets top jockey Ben Thompson.
From barrier 2, he should get all the favours, with Thompson likely to hold the front or make those on his outside work before sitting on their backs.

GORBACHEV (2) was eased out of the race first-up but bounced back in a big way over 1400m at Eagle Farm last start.
The Michael Freedman-trained gelding flew out of the gates to cross and lead before producing plenty on the run home to salute narrowly.
He will strip fitter third-up and won his only previous race over this course and distance.
With Jace McMurray’s claim, he will carry just 0.5kg more while staying in the same class.
The wide barrier is not ideal, but he has the speed to cross and find a prominent position.

AMUSEANTES (4) returns to the races for the first time since April and looks to be tuned up nicely.
The Rob Heathcote-trained mare has had two trials leading into this, with her most recent seeing her charge home under her own steam to win impressively.
She kicked off last preparation with a strong win over this course and distance, where she registered the best closing sectionals to salute by a nose.
A decent speed will aid her cause, and Taylor Marshall just needs to get her off the fence entering the straight. If he does, she will be fighting out the finish.

RIMBAUD (2) ventures north from Sydney and should appreciate the drop in class.
The Annabel & Rob Archibald-trained gelding could not go with subsequent Saturday Midway winner Clear Proof last start at Canterbury and gassed out.
Prior to that, he had raced well with a win over this distance at Wyong before finishing second in a stronger race at Warwick Farm.
Jace McMurray claims 1.5kg and will use Rimbaud’s early speed to settle in a prominent position.
