Courtza Stakes Tips & Predictions 2026: Best Bets

We have Courtza Stakes tips and predictions for the Group 3 feature race out of Caulfield this Saturday on Memsie Stakes Day.

Courtza Stakes odds have Shadhavar as the current favourite, and it should be a wide-open 1200m race this weekend.

Read on for our full 2026 Courtza Stakes best bets to give your Caulfield tipping on the weekend a boost!

Best Bet
#11 Custom @ $6.00

CUSTOM (5) is a 4YO mare who has produced good form this preparation, including a win at Caulfield in July before placing last time to the races.

She is never too far away from winning the race, boasting two wins and five placings from 12 starts, and there has been solid money come for her at Ladbrokes. She got out to $7 before firming into $6, which is a good sign.

Ciaron Maher lines up the daughter of Street Boss, who has yet to run in heavy conditions, but as her breeding suggests, she should handle the cut out of the ground. Her two wins came on soft tracks, which gives punters a guide into how she’ll handle the wet.

At $6, she’s our best bet for the Courtza Stakes.

Form hard to fault. Most recently 3rd of 8 in a Bm88 at Caulfield Heath on August 8 over 1200m, slow going 0.6 len behind Flyer with 52kg at $1.75. The run before that favourite; won by 3 len at this track on July 25 over 1200m on a rain affected track defeating Sun Setting with 56.5kg at $2.35. Can bounce back with further upside.

#3 Wrote To Arataki @ $10.00

Punters get generous odds for WROTE TO ARATAKI (3), who is a proven fresh-up performer with eight starts for two wins and three placings.

The 8YO daughter of Wrote is bred to handle heavy tracks, and she owns a win in heavy conditions. That’s good to see before Saturday’s race, as the track could be cut up by the time they hit the track in Race 5.

Barrier 3 should see her land in a good position, and with her record at Caulfield and over the distance standing out, leaving her out of Courtza Stakes predictions would be a mistake. Therefore, the $8.50 to win and $2.40 to place are worth including in picks this week.

Best Roughie
#10 Gold Medallist @ $10.00

A runner that shouldn’t go under the radar is GOLD MEDALLIST (6), who is a proven winner in wet conditions.

The 5YO mare has made a positive start to her career with five wins from eight starts, and three of those wins came on wet tracks. She has yet to be defeated with moisture in the surface, which makes her tough to leave out of Courtza Stakes tips.

If there is going to be an upset in this race, it will come from Gold Medallist, and her opening odds of $21 have firmed into $14. Punters have cottoned on, and she is a live hope of causing an upset.

Punters get value odds with our Courtza Stakes SRM, which includes our three selected runners and the current race favourite.

  • Top 4 – No. 11 Custom
  • Top 4 – No. 6 Shadhavar
  • Top 5 – No. 10 Gold Medallist
  • Top 5 – No. 3 Wrote To Arataki

We have Custom Top 4, Gold Medallist Top 5, Wrote to Arataki Top 5, and Shadhavar Top 4, which pays a healthy $15 at Ladbrokes, and those odds are worth taking.

Punters get short odds for Shadhavar to finish in the Top 4, but she’s the clear favourite after winning three straight races, and it wouldn’t be smart to completely leave her out of Courtza Stakes predictions.
