The UFC heads back to China with a Bantamweight main event that will have massive implications on the title race.
Umar Nurmagomedov and Song Yadong will battle it out in the octagon at the appealing time of Saturday night for Australian fans and it can not be missed!

Nurmagomedov’s perfect 18 fight winning record came to an end when he fought for the UFC Bantamweight belt in January 2025 when he lost a unanimous decision to Meran Dvalishvili.
He was taken down a total of seven times during those five rounds but only had seven less significant strikes.
Ultimately, it was the control time on the canvas that lost him that fight considering Merab only landed a single significant strike while in the dominant position on the ground.
He has bounced back with back-to-back wins to earn him another title eliminator fight against Yadong who is also looking for his first chance at a UFC belt.
After a loss to Cory Sandhagen in 2022, Song Yadong has now won four of his last six which includes a submission win over former champion Deiveson Figueredo in May.
The fighting style of Nurmagomedov is almost bullet proof and while it is hard to see him losing this fight, he has come up incredibly short in the market.
In front of his home fans, and with a fascias boxing style that can end the fight with one shot, let’s have a small play on the underdog.

Another local hope comes in the form of Yan Xiaonan fought for the women’s strawweight belt in 2024 against her compatriot Zhang Weili but lost that fight via unanimous decision.
She has gone 1-1 since that loss, the latest being a decision loss to Virna Jandiroba in April of 2025.
Having been out of the octagon for over 12 months and at 37 years of age, she is up against it despite having the crowd on her side.
She faces Brazilian Denise Gomes on Saturday night in the co-main event who is over a decade her junior.
Gomes won a UFC contract through Dana White’s Contender Series in 2022 but started her UFC career with a decision loss.
Since then, she has won six of her last seven fights in the octagon including her last four in a row.
That is where the value lies in this one.

I know this fight is much earlier in the night on the prelims, but I can’t let my boy Jack Jenkins enter the octagon without offering my thoughts.
Injuries have really derailed his momentum but make no mistake that ‘Phar” Jack is a threat to anybody in the sport.
He is such a well-rounded fighter who not only has landed 406 of the 664 significant strikes he has thrown in the UFC but averages two takedowns per 15 minutes of octagon time.
Sean Woodson is an excellent test for Jack at this stage of his career as he is a veteran of the UFC having made his debut last decade.
He has wins over Terrence McKinney and Charles Joudain and has an overall record of 13:2:1.
Statement win for Jack and I believe he can get a finish at some stage.
