ARYNA SABALENKA VS LINDA NOSKOVA
BACK SABALENKA TO WIN 2-0 @ $1.92

Two-time defending US Open champion Aryna Sabalenka and reigning Wimbledon champion Linda Noskova square off in the first women’s quarterfinal at Flushing Meadows.

Sabalenka is 2-0 against Noskova, winning in straight sets at the 2023 Adelaide International and earlier this year in the Indian Wells Masters semis.

The world No.1 has extended her US Open winning streak to 18 matches with comfortable wins over Camila Osorio (6-2 6-4), Polina Iatcenko (6-1 6-1), Kamilla Rakhimova (6-3 6-4) and Taylor Townsend (6-4 6-3).

Noskova, who had not been beyond the third round in New York previously, opened her campaign with solid wins over Katie Volynets (7-5 6-1) and Lanlana Tararudee (6-4 6-2).

The 21-year-old had to dig deep to outlast 29th seed Ann Li (6-2 6-7 6-2) and 11th seed Marta Kostyuk (7-5 4-6 7-5).

Beating Kostyuk, in particular, provides $2.90 underdog Noskova with important momentum and confidence ahead of this daunting assignment.

But in a match-up of similar styles, Sabalenka’s edge in power and ball-striking should carry her through if she stays consistent. That hasn’t been a strong suit on the biggest stages in 2026, but her US Open record speaks for itself.

Prediction: BACK SABALENKA TO WIN 2-0 @ $1.92

JESSICA PEGULA VS EMMA NAVARRO
BACK NAVARRO TO COVER THE GAMES HANDICAP (+4.5) @ $1.90

At least one American will feature in the US Open women’s semis as compatriots Jessica Pegula and Emma Navarro battle it out for a spot in the last four.

Navarro has the psychological hurdle of a 0-4 record against Pegula to overcome, including a 7-5 6-2 defeat at the Cincinnati Masters three weeks ago – where Pegula eventually reached the final with wins over Amanda Anisimova and Iga Swiatek.

Third seed Pegula was the US Open runner-up in 2024 and made the semis last year.

The 32-year-old is on track for a similar result after navigating a tough draw to put away Elena-Gabriela Ruse (6-3 6-2), Sofia Kenin (6-3 6-1), Leylah Annie Fernandez (1-6 6-4 6-3) and Sorana Cirstea (6-3 6-4).

Navarro, seeded 26th and arriving in modest form, has accounted for Lois Boisson (7-6 6-7 6-3), Caty McNally (3-6 6-2 6-3), seventh seed Karolina Muchova (6-3 7-5) and 21st seed Anna Kalinskaya (6-4 6-2).

That rivalry count is impossible to overlook, but Navarro is showing the sort of form again that took her to a US Open semifinal and the top 10 in 2024. This should be tighter than the market suggests.

Prediction: BACK NAVARRO TO COVER THE GAMES HANDICAP (+4.5) @ $1.90

FRANCES TIAFOE VS ALEX MICHELSEN
BACK TIAFOE TO COVER THE GAMES HANDICAP (-2.5) @ $1.90

Eleventh seed Frances Tiafoe is vying for a third US Open semifinal appearance when he takes on unseeded fellow American Alex Michelsen.

Tiafoe took out both of his previous clashes with Michelsen – at the 2024 Dallas Open and on clay in Houston in 2025 – in straight sets.

After surviving a five-set scare in the first round against Martin Damm Jr, Tiafoe has powered past Rei Sakamoto, 22nd seed Valentin Vacherot and seventh seed Daniil Medvedev (who won the 2021 US Open) in straight sets.

It continues some excellent recent form for the aggressive, athletic Tiafoe, reaching the Cincinnati Masters final last month.

The 22-year-old Michelsen, ranked outside the top 40, is into his first grand slam quarterfinal. He is yet to drop a set in eliminating Federico Cina, 16th seed Brandon Nakashima, Daniel Merida Aguilar and 27th seed Tomas Martin Etcheverry.

Tiafoe, though, has more to his game than anyone Michelsen has faced thus far. The bolter will be up for the fight and has nothing to lose after exceeding expectations already, but Tiafoe looks very good value as only a $1.65 favourite.

Prediction: BACK TIAFOE TO COVER THE GAMES HANDICAP (-2.5) @ $1.90

BEN SHELTON VS CARLOS ALCARAZ
BACK ALCARAZ TO COVER THE GAMES HANDICAP (-4.5) @ $1.87

In arguably the biggest match of the tournament to date, defending champion and title favourite Carlos Alcaraz locks horns with eighth-seeded American Ben Shelton.

Alcaraz is 3-0 against Shelton, chalking up wins at the 2023 Cincinnati Masters, 2024 Laver Cup and 2025 French Open.

Returning from a four-month wrist injury layoff, Alcaraz has dropped just one set – to Jaime Faria in the second round – and has otherwise looked dominant in disposing of Roman Safiullin, Yibing Wu and 20th seed Tommy Paul.

Shelton, a semifinalist in a breakout 2023 US Open showing, won the Canadian Masters before being upset by Faria first up in Cincinnati.

So far in New York he’s carved out four-set wins over Tallon Griekspoor, Hubert Hurkacz and Denis Shapovalov, before ending the rejuvenated Stefanos Tsitsipas’ run in straight sets.

Shelton has impressed amid a tricky draw, but Alcaraz represents a huge step up in class. The Spanish gun has proved an impregnable opponent for Shelton previously and is set to do so again.

Prediction: BACK ALCARAZ TO COVER THE GAMES HANDICAP (-4.5) @ $1.87
