Tea Rose Stakes odds don’t have much between the favourites in what could be the race of the day in Sydney.
Chilly Girl didn’t get every chance to win behind Bangkok Hottie in the Furious Stakes, but she still managed to finish second in a busy finish.
It was a good run from the previously unbeaten filly, who looked good when beating Blue Door at Rosehill. That is a good form guide for the rest of the spring, and she’ll get every chance from barrier 2.
Tim Clark is a master judge of pace, and although things didn’t pan out for him last start, punters should expect to see her settle just behind the leaders before peeling for her run at the top of the straight.
Her turn-of-speed is enough to put this field away over the last 100m, and rising to 1400m helps her more than most runners. She’s a top pick with Tea Rose Stakes predictions.

A runner who could be going under the radar is Queen’s Gamble, who comes through midweek races with some excellent wins on board.
She broke maidens at Warwick Farm with a 2.5 length win, which was impressive, but she followed it up with something better when scoring by 3.3 lengths last start. That run is tough to get out of our minds, and she has gone to another level.
Sure, she has yet to face this level of opposition, but she’s a strong filly by Anders, and she will only improve with more racing. That bodes well for a big run on Saturday, and he could add value at her current odds.

Leave out a Chris Waller-trained runner coming off back-to-back wins at your peril. She won at Randwick-Kensington before winning at Warwick Farm, and that form has since been franked.
Saffron Veil finished second in that race, and she won on Wednesday, so the form has stood up well, and punters shouldn’t discount her simply because she’s paying good odds.
Waller has a knack for getting his longshot runners to win 3YO races, and Sequinned could boost payouts in a big race. She’s a Godolphin-raced filly with a bright future, and she’s ready for this level.
Zac Lloyd riding doesn’t hurt, so there are many positives.
