The 2YO filly by Exceedance doesn’t need luck on her side from the inside barrier, and she only needs to soak up the early speed and be put into the race. It’s going to be a mad dash for the front, but she won’t need to come around a horse.

She showed good barrier speed at the trials, and she’s bred to be tough. She’ll need toughness to hold them off late, but there is enough value in the current odds to include her in selections.

A runner going under the radar in betting markets is Outback Affair. She hails from the Waterhouse/Bott stable, and they have a good record in the Gimcrack Stakes.

Her trial performance behind Shezablaze was good, and although beaten by just under three lengths, she was always going to improve with that trial under her belt, and she could show up on race day.

The progeny of Home Affairs is going well this season, so she’ll be a strong type, and she should push forward from barrier 8. That should set her up nicely for a good run, and the odds are worth including to boost SRM payouts.
