You’re in the right place for our Daily Racing Tips on Monday October 12th, including Bairnsdale best bets.
VESPASIAN (2) looks well placed to break his maiden at Bairnsdale.
The Lindsay Park-trained galloper is an eight-start maiden, but he has been knocking on the door in recent weeks and was only just denied in races at Pakenham and Ladbrokes Geelong most notably.
In peak order today, he might not be offered a better opportunity to win.

WEASEL SEA (1) is another one that can break his maiden today at Bairnsdale.
The Rubick gelding has placed at all six appearances since debuting, including a couple of near misses at Hamilton and Kilmore since resuming this time.
Fitter third-up today, he can big his journey through the grades.
| 3. Weasel Sea (1) J: Dylan Dunn 59.5kg 33×22 T: Jason Warren | |||
| Third-up today and placed third-up in the past. First-up tracked the speed and boxed on steadily 2nd of 11 in a Mdn-Sw at Hamilton on September 14 over 1100m, on a slow track; 2 len behind Extreme Turbo carrying 59.5kg at $2.60. Second run from a spell ran on from midfield; 2nd of 10 in a Mdn-Sw at Kilmore on September 28 over 1100m, 2.75 len behind He’s On Point carrying 59.5kg at $5. If he can settle closer this time he will prove hard to hold out. | |||
PRECAMBRIAN (2) takes winning form into an open race at Bairnsdale.
Precambrian wasn’t disgraced at his first two runs back this time on the Pakenham synthetic but relished getting back onto turf and further out in trip when striking at Echuca last time out.
He steps out today a fit horse, gets another rise in trip and some weight relief under Stephanie Hately.

| At the latest run favourite; won by 0.5 len in a Mdn-Sw at Echuca on September 19 over 2112m defeating Under Control carrying 59.5kg at $2.40. The race before that 5th of 11 in a Mdn-Sw at Pakenham Synthetic on August 24 over 1600m, 5 len behind Hit Squad carrying 59.5kg at $41. Can repeat the dose. | |||
I AM ALGADON (7) looks well placed to strike today at Bairnsdale.
The Matt Laurie-trained filly showed promise at the trials prior to debuting and put the writing on the wall with a sharp performance to break her maiden at Tatura last month.
With natural improvement, she can go on with it.
| 10. I Am Algadon (7) J: Nadia Daniels 57kg 1 T: Matt Laurie | |||
| Getting off the mark on debut; raced right near the speed and boxed on; won by 1.3 len in a F&M Mdn-Sw at Tatura on September 29 over 1100m defeating Snitzel Tycoon with 53.5kg at $3.40. Likely to be popular with punters and looks very tough to beat again. | |||
