We have King Charles III Stakes tips and predictions for the Group 1 1609m race at Randwick on Saturday.
King Charles III Stakes odds have Autumn Glow at short odds, as she looks to add another win to her record.
AUTUMN GLOW (4) remains our top selection after producing two excellent performances to begin her spring campaign. She returned with a convincing win in the Group 1 Winx Stakes over 1400m before stepping up to 1600m in the Group 2 7 Stakes, where she again proved too good for her rivals.
Those performances demonstrate her ability to sustain a strong finishing effort over a mile, and she appears to be reaching peak fitness at the right time. Her record is particularly impressive, with just one defeat in 14 career starts heading into Saturday’s feature.
Barrier 4 should give jockey James McDonald plenty of flexibility when deciding where to settle. She also carries 57kg, 2kg less than the older male runners.
The main concern is the short price, especially with Pride Of Jenni likely to inject plenty of speed into the race. However, Autumn Glow has earned her position at the top of the market, so she’s our best King Charles III Stakes tip.

CEOLWUFL (1) is our next best with King Charles III Stakes predictions, with his experience in major mile races making him a serious threat to the favourite.
He finished runner-up in the Epsom Handicap, beaten only 1.7 lengths by God’s Window and carrying a much heavier weight. That followed another placing behind Autumn Glow in the 7 Stakes, which is a good form guide.
Ceolwulf has won the King Charles III Stakes in each of the past two years and now has the opportunity to complete a remarkable hat-trick, which would firmly make this race his race.
With Pride of Jenni likely to scorch the turf, that sets it up for a backmarker. He could finish over the top of them, and his turn-of-foot is better than most of his rivals.

She’s not paying roughie odds, but we can’t leave Pride of Jenni out of our King Charles III Stakes predictions.
The Ciaron Maher-trained mare arrives after winning the Group 2 Feehan Stakes at Caulfield on 27 September, extending her winning streak in that race to three.
She is renowned for her aggressive racing style. She generally looks to take up the running and force her rivals to chase. If she gets comfortable sectionals early, she could make the favourite work hard to reel her in.
She also has a proven record at the highest level, including a dominant six-length victory in the 2024 Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Randwick over 2000m. That’s enough to include her in picks.

Punters get value odds with our King Charles III Stakes SRM, which includes our three selected runners.
We have Autumn Glow to Win, Ceolwulf Top 2, and Pride of Jenni Top 3, which pays $3.55 for our three-runner SRM.
We’re picking Autumn Glow and Ceolwulf to run the quinella, and we have Pride of Jenni holding on to a placing. It doesn’t pay huge odds, but it’s worth backing.
