| Resumes from a spell after only one run when 5th of 13 in a Mdn-Sw at Wangaratta on June 14 over 1000m, on rain affected going; 6 len behind Induction carrying 59.5kg at $1.85. Expected to do much better this time around. | |||
GILGEOUS (11) has made the pace in his past two starts and was only run down late on both occasions over this distance at Bendigo.
The Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young-trained gelding has given a great account of himself and looks close to a win.
He has drawn awkwardly again, so will need some luck to find a forward position.
If he gets across without spending too much early, he can take plenty of running down.

DETERMINED ROSE (11) made an impressive winning debut over this course and distance before being sent for a spell.
The Jerome Hunter-trained filly returns off the back of two jump-outs.
She showed an abundance of speed in her latest hit-out and won well.
Despite drawing wide, she has the early speed to cross and find a forward position.
| 10. Determined Rose (9) 56kg1x | |||
| Resuming after a break; only one run when won by 2 len in a 2yo Hcp at this track on June 8 over 1200m in the wet defeating Centenary Florin carrying 57kg at $12. Looks forward enough after a recent trial win. Very good on debut and can remain unbeaten. | |||
YELLOWKNIFE (6) won first-up over 1200m on the Pakenham Synthetic, then finished second at both Wodonga and Kyneton.
The Team Hayes-trained gelding is now at peak fitness and gets the winkers on for the first time.
He maps to get a sweet run on speed from barrier six for 1.5kg claiming apprentice Jackson Radley.
With his consistent form this preparation and a favourable position, he looks well placed to win his second career start.
