Tuesday night at The Creek brings nine races to unpack, with Oli Cownie sorting through the form to find his best chances and plays.
DESIRING DIAMONDS (2) looks well handicapped in this race starting off just 10 metres having not been beaten too far in her latest start behind Raffie Jay in the Springboard Final. She has trialled well ahead of her return and should be hard to beat.
ICONIC IMAGE (5) faces a big handicap in this race but does have the advantage over one of his key rivals in FREDIDRIVSAMERCURY (6). He sat behind the leader and wasn’t beaten far by Raffie Jay.
FREDIDRIVSAMERCURY (6) put in a big run two starts ago when finishing second to Raffie Jay after sitting without cover. He faces a big handicap in this race but he is the class runner and with a safe beginning he should be right in the finish again.
NONIS GOLD CLASS (3) was able to lead and control things last time out holding off the late challenge of Natty Pagger. She should settle close and can be running on into the money late.
SELECTIONS: DESIRING DIAMONDS (2), ICONIC IMAGE (5), FREDIDRIVSAMERCURY (6), NONIS GOLD CLASS (3)
SUGGESTED BET: DESIRING DIAMONDS (2) to win.
| 2. Desiring Diamonds (1) 81334 | |||
| Last start 4th (Fr3) over 2138m at this track was 4th-9.28 at the bell, beaten 9 m by Raffie Jay (2:34.40) in 3yo on September 1 at $10. Two runs back 3rd (Fr6) over 2138m at this track, at the bell was 3rd-8.98 beaten 15 m by Cascata (2:37.20) on August 25 at $4.60. Needs to do more. | |||
MISS MONEY PENNY (3) showed speed early in a recent trial before being crossed and was running through the nicely late in behind Scar Struck who has shown good ability. She is well bred and should run a good race on debut.
UNCLE NOLAN (4) started a short price favourite last time out and had little luck there when back in the field and forced to make a wide run into it finishing fourth. He had run well his start prior and should run well again in this race.
BROADWAYBEAUTY (1) led last time out at Redcliffe and was run down late by Jovial Jim and Disembark when finishing third. She draws well again in this race and should be thereabouts again.
LAY IT DOWN LOU (2) led a recent trial and was run down late by Charmed Conquest. He draws well in this race and should settle close in the run which should see him dangerous late.
SELECTIONS: MISS MONEY PENNY (3), UNCLE NOLAN (4), BROADWAYBEAUTY (1), LAY IT DOWN LOU (2)
SUGGESTED BET: MISS MONEY PENNY (3) to win.
| 3. Miss Money Penny (3) | |||
| Three-year-old filly by Bettors Delight out of Miss Moneybags having her first start. Finished second at Albion Park in a trial on October 20 over 1660m. | |||
SECOND TO NUN (7) scored a good win two starts ago leading all the way to beat Serena Love. She took on a stronger race last time out at Marburg and didn’t have much luck there locking wheels at a crucial stage.
FENOMENAL (8) started off 40 metres last time out when running a good fourth not beaten far by Nonis Gold Class. He is much more favourably handicapped in this race and should be hard to beat.
NATTY PAGGER (4) impressed two starts ago when not beaten far by Nonis Gold Class at this track. He generally begins well from the stand start and can look to step quickly and attempt to hold the advantage on key rivals which are off bigger handicaps in this race.
VOLTAIN (2) was well beaten first up last time out when likely unsuited sitting without cover at Marburg. She is likely to have derived good benefit from the outing and can bounce back in this race.
SELECTIONS: SECOND TO NUN (7), FENOMENAL (8), NATTY PAGGER (4), VOLTAIN (2)
SUGGESTED BET: NATTY PAGGER (4) to win.
| 4. Natty Pagger Nz (2) 54826 | |||
| Last start 6th (20m) over 2200m at Marburg beaten 30 m by Laydownluna (2:51.80) in 3yo+ on October 18 at $18. Two runs back 2nd (30m) over 2138m at this track was 2nd-3.79 at the bell, beaten 2.75 m by Nonis Gold Class (2:43.50) on October 13 at $71. | |||
SINABUN (5) won a recent trial in preparation for his return to the races rating fast time at Albion Park. He has good gate speed and may look to launch to the front at the start. If he is able to lead he should prove hard to run down.
OUR ROCKY (7) showed very good gate speed when able to lead last time out and was just beaten by a smart one in Always B Cool. He draws wide on the front row but does seem to have excellent gate speed and should settle close enough in the run.
CHARGE AHEAD (2) showed gate speed last time out before obtaining the 1-1 trail and just wasn’t quite able to run into the placings late. He draws well to settle close enough in the run and shouldn’t be too far away.
DRAGON (6) was running on strongly late last time out behind stablemate Greased Lightnin into second. He draws awkwardly in this race but is racing well and with the right run into the race can figure.
SELECTIONS: SINABUN (5), OUR ROCKY (7), CHARGE AHEAD (2), DRAGON (6)
SUGGESTED BET: SINABUN (5) to win.
| 5. Sinabun (5) 4590x | |||
| First up. At the last run he 10th (Fr7) over 1609m at Menangle, at the bell was 4th-7.4m on the pegs beaten 8 m by Coastal Drive (1:54.30) in 4-020yo+ on March 27 at $16. | |||
SQUAMISH (3) was able to lead last time out taking them all the way over the 1660 rating good time. He should be able to find a prominent position again from a good draw and looks hard to beat.
LEAF STRIDE (10) was very impressive last time out when running on strongly into second behind SQUAMISH (3). He likely derived good benefit from that first outing in QLD and should run well again second up.
LOVE GUN (9) didn’t have much luck in his latest outing when checked in a race taken out by Pinnie. He should get a good run off the speed in this race and can be running into it late.
LAYDOWNLUNA (4) continued her good run of form last time out when breaking through for another win at Marburg stepping well and leading. She should settle close again and can be running into the money late.
SELECTIONS: SQUAMISH (3), LEAF STRIDE (10), LOVE GUN (9), LAYDOWNLUNA (4)
SUGGESTED BET: SQUAMISH (3) to win.
| 3. Squamish (3) 28371 | |||
| Last start posted a big 4 m win as favourite when quickly away, (Fr5) at this track (1:57.90) beating Leaf Stride in on October 13 at $1.95 at the bell was leading 0.42. | |||
RACANA (4) looked quite unlucky two starts ago when taken on out in front over the 2138 and was just run down late by NEXT TO ME (6) who had a much more favourable run off the speed in that race. If she can lead and get things on her terms she is likely to take plenty of running down.
COSMIC FLYER (7) is a standout on class in this race and was a good winner three starts ago finishing off strongly to get over the top at this track and trip in a truly run race. He draws poorly outside the front row and will likely be a long way back in the run but if the race is run to suit he should be very hard to hold out late.
PUNTERS JEWEL (5) got back and was running on reasonably late into fourth there not beaten far. He is likely to be shuffled back again in this race from an awkward draw and can be running on late again.
NEXT TO ME (6) was a good winner three starts ago running over the top late to beat RACANA (4) at this track and trip. He ran well again two starts ago finishing second to Fire And Passion.
SELECTIONS: RACANA (4), COSMIC FLYER (7), PUNTERS JEWEL (5), NEXT TO ME (6)
SUGGESTED BET: COSMIC FLYER (7) to win.
| 7. Cosmic Flyer (7) 45124 | |||
| Won three starts back at this track over 2138m 3yo+ on October 6. Last time out 4th (Fr3) over 2138m at this track beaten 30 m by Leap To Fame (2:29.00) in 4yo+ on October 17 at $31. | |||
BOLD PERSONALITY (4) secured a good run off the speed last time out and was working through the line nicely. She looks likely to settle close again in this race from a good draw and should be hard to beat.
POCKET BOOK (1) draws well in this race and can lead before having options from there. Generally she has been best suited in races when driven with a sit and she may be driven that way again in this race.
MAYWYNS KAREN (3) settled close to the speed last time out after working forward at the start and was running on well late into third. She draws well in this race and with the right run can figure in the finish again.
BEACH MAGIC (6) secured a good run on the pegs last time out and was able to run second there behind Major Slip Up. He draws awkwardly outside the front row but with the right run can figure in the finish again.
SELECTIONS: BOLD PERSONALITY (4), POCKET BOOK (1), MAYWYNS KAREN (3), BEACH MAGIC (6)
SUGGESTED BET: BOLD PERSONALITY (4) to win.
| 4. Bold Personality (4) 77382 | |||
| Two back was well beaten into eighth behind Major Ark at Redcliffe over 1780m in a 3yo+ on October 14 at $16. Then a handy effort when a close second behind Man Of Action at this track over 1660m in a 3yo+ on October 20 at $4. | |||
HARRY KANE (1) has gate speed and should be able to drive through and lead early in this race. He was able to work to the lead last time out and was able to take them all the way proving too good for Kingsbury. The step up in trip doesn’t look ideal but he is seemingly getting better each run.
LONGSHOT (12) has been very impressive in recent outings including last time out when running a good third having been forced to do the work outside the leader. He draws poorly outside the back row in this race but can be put into the race at some stage and should run well again.
SHE MAYBE BETTOR (6) secured a good run on the pegs off the speed last time out at this track and trip and was running on nicely into second late. She should secure a good run off the speed again in this race and can be running on late.
SHEZ A WARRIOR (3) got back in the run last time out at Redcliffe and was running on late there into third behind The Tiger Army. She should get a good run in this race again and can be running on late.
SELECTIONS: HARRY KANE (1), LONGSHOT (12), SHE MAYBE BETTOR (6), SHEZ A WARRIOR (3)
SUGGESTED BET: HARRY KANE (1) to win.
| 1. Harry Kane Nz (1) 25661 | |||
| Last start won by 2.5 m as favourite when quickly away, (Fr3) at this track (1:58.70) beating Kingsbury in 3yo+ on October 20 at $2.60. | |||
CAMERINA (5) sat outside the leader two starts ago and ran well there finishing second to Blackjack who had a more favourable run in the race. If she could press forward and find the lead at some stage she would likely be very hard to run down.
BETTOR BE BOHDI (4) has good gate speed and should be able to press forward and find a prominent position. He secured a good run behind the leader last time out and wasn’t beaten far in third.
BIGBASHASH (10) ran on strongly late last time out to beat Toro Loco. If the race is run to suit he should be running on strongly late.
ALWAYS ADORNED (6) put in an excellent run last time out when finishing second behind Racana in fast time over the 1660. She may be forced to do the work again from a wide draw but shouldn’t be far away.
SELECTIONS: CAMERINA (5), BETTOR BE BOHDI (4), BIGBASHASH (10), ALWAYS ADORNED (6)
SUGGESTED BET: CAMERINA (5) to win.
| 5. Camerina (5) 32227 | |||

Before that, a game effort when 2nd (Fr2) over 1660m after showing early speed at this track, at the bell was 2nd-3.72 beaten 5 m by Our Sweet Jess (1:55.90) in 3yo+ on September 29 at $2.30. | |||
