To Win: No. 1 Apocalyptic
APOCALYPTIC (4) is the boom filly of the spring and heads to Caulfield chasing a juicy Group 1 double. She’s swept through the Princess Series in Sydney and was dominant in the Flight Stakes last start, putting her rivals away with ease over the Randwick mile. Michael Freedman’s daughter of Extreme Choice is still holding above even money, so there’s a touch of value if you’re keen to be with her — and I am. She’s only had four starts but already looks elite, and with Mark Zahra jumping aboard from the perfect draw in gate four, she maps to get every chance. Cannot see any issues going the Melbourne way, she’s airborne, Zahra’s flying, and with 2000 owners cheering her on, she’s got the momentum to make it four straight.
