Hawthorn vs St Kilda
Hawthorn were able to break through for their first win of the season against the West Coast Eagles last weekend and there is no reason that they can’t win again. The Hawks have won their past 19 games in Tasmania and they face a St Kilda outfit that has won only three of their past eight games as away underdogs.
Gold Coast Titans vs Newcastle Knights
There is nowhere near as much between these two teams as the current betting market suggests. The Gold Coast Titans were excellent against the Cronulla Sharks last weekend, but they aren’t a team that generally put big scores on their rivals and they have won only two of their past four games as home favourites. The Knights have been competitive in the majority of their games so far this season.
Canterbury Bulldogs vs Canberra Raiders
The Canberra Raiders have an excellent record on the road over the past 12 months and they have covered the line in five of their past six games as away favourites. The Raiders will be disappointed that they failed to come away with the win last weekend against Manly and it is tough to see them losing back-to-back games.
North Melbourne vs Gold Coast Suns
North Melbourne have not been disgraced so far this season despite not having won a game and this really is an excellent opportunity to claim a maiden win. The Kangaroos have won three of their past four games as home favourites, while the Gold Coast Suns have not won a game as away underdogs over the past 12 months.
