Indianapolis Colts vs. Baltimore Ravens
After missing nearly two years of regular season football, the Colts will be eager to get quarterback Andrew Luck as many snaps as possible today against the Ravens. For punters, the good news is Luck looked like his old self against the Seahawks last week, throwing for 66-yards and completing six of his nine passes. Due to his long list of injury concerns, Luck won’t play too long, but he should stay in long enough to impact the game and steer the Colts toward some points.
Seattle Mariners vs Houston Astros
In case you’ve missed it, the AL West is a very tight division. The Astros lead the way on percentage alone, while the Mariners sit just 3.5 games back in third place. Every game counts, and after Gerrit Cole’s mishap against this same Mariners lineup only a week ago, you have to like Seattle’s chances at home. Cole allowed four earned runs across seven innings, so if the M’s bats can get to him once again, they might just open this series with a win.
Broadmeadow Magic FC vs Bentleigh Greens
This game figures to be the most interesting of the four FFA Cup games on offer tonight. Bentleigh have become the upset kings after knocking out Wellington Phoenix earlier this month, but both of these sides look evenly matched. Broadmeadow pulled off an upset themselves over Canberra FC during the Round of 32, a 4-1 defeat that still has the Magic as the heavy underdogs. Still, this one could shape up to be a draw as each team should take a conservative approach.
