New York Yankees vs. Washington Nationals
8:35am AEST

New York Yankees To Beat The Line (-1.5 Points)

Are we looking at a potential World Series preview? The Nationals come into this one on a harsh three game losing streak, while the Yankees currently hold the second best record in baseball. Three and a half games behind the Braves, Washington needs to kick into gear if they wish to win the National League East, but they probably won’t feel too confident with Erick Fedde on the mound. The 25-year old righty has lasted just five innings in his two starts so far this season, which doesn’t bode well against a Yankees team that has hit nine home runs over the last seven days.

Los Angeles Angels vs. Arizona Diamondbacks
12:00pm AEST

Match Winner/Total Runs Double: Arizona/Under 7.5 @ $3.85

The Diamondbacks are rolling right now, and although they’ve split even at 16-16 in road games, the fact Arizona have hit 10 home runs this week alone should tell you how dangerous this team really is. Zack Greinke takes the mound for the DBacks, a 14-year veteran who’s put together quite a decent season so far. The Angels, meanwhile, will rely on big league rookie Jaime Barria, a right handed pitcher who has never faced Arizona before. Both teams roll in on a two-game losing streak, but given just how hot Arizona’s bats have been, they get the edge here.

Colombia vs. Japan
10:00pm AEST

Correct Score: Colombia 2-0 @ $6.50

One-sided enough for you? 16th ranked Colombia plays 61st ranked Japan on Tuesday night, a game that heavily favours the former. Not for the first time, Colombia will look to make an example out of the Japanese, having defeated them 4-1 in the group stage back in 2014. Colombia’s ferocious attack on the ball saw them head to the quarter finals that year, and although their path to this years World Cup hasn’t been quite so easy, this match has victory written all over it. Colombia’s game plan is simple: utilize the likes of James Rodriguez and Juan Cuadrado on attack and put defenders under pressure early. Unfortunately for Japan, they don’t look up to the challenge.
