Daily Racing Tips – Monday 24th September

Pakenham - Race 3 2.25pm AEST

No. 10 Outboard Motors

Outboard Motors has been a frustrating horse for punters during her racing career to date, but I am willing to give her one more opportunity this afternoon. She was only narrowly denied first-up at Geelong and she really should be able to improve on that performance. On exposed form, she does have an edge over the rest of this field and if she does win this afternoon she will be going into the never again file.

Pakenham - Race 7 4.30pm AEST

No. 6 Yesido

The odds-on favourite Gaelic Dream will obviously be tough to beat, but there is no way that Yesido should be $21. His winning record is obviously awful, but he has finished in the placings in four of his five starts on the Synthetic. He has trialled well ahead of his return to the races and he is an excellent each-way bet.

Northam - Race 7 6.10pm AEST

No. 2 Kia Ora Star

Kia Ora Star was only narrowly denied at Belmont last start and he has been racing fairly well this preparation. He maps to get a lovely run in transit with Will Pike in the saddle and the step-up in trip looks as though it will suit. This is a fairly weak race and this is his opportunity to return to winning form.

Northam - Race 8 6:50pm AEST

No. 5 Black Shadow

Black Shadow has recorded two wins from his three career starts and he has improved each time that he has been seen at the races. He is a horse that makes his own luck right on the speed and if he is able to maintain his current level he will prove very tough to beat. The $6.50 currently available is a great price.
