Bill Stutt Stakes Tips

Good Bill Stutt Stakes tips include looking for graduates out of earlier Melbourne, spring runs over at least 1400m, runners with previous form at the Moonee Valley track and backing the favourites.

Few double-figure chances win the Stutt Stakes, making laying the favourite a risky Stutt Stakes tip.

2025 Stutt Stakes Tips

Our Ladbrokes’ insider Bill Stutt Stakes 2025 betting tips and exotic Moonee Valley night racing selections will be detailed below the week of the race so bookmark this page to see the three-year-olds to back and sack in the race.

To Win: No. 1 Vinrock

VINROCK (8) may be short odds in the Stutt Stakes, but it’s hard to look past Matt Laurie’s classy Group 1 winner in this small field. The I Am Invincible colt achieved the rare VRC Sires–Inglis Sires double as a juvenile and has returned in superb order to reinforce that elite form. He was underdone first-up on a Soft track in the McNeil Stakes, finishing fourth, but bounced back emphatically in the Listed Exford Plate at Flemington, winning by nearly two lengths with 59.5kg over 1400m. Dropping to 57kg at set weights and stepping up to the mile looks ideal, and with Mark Zahra sticking, Vinrock should roll forward and get every chance to dominate again.
