The meeting’s feature race is the Group 1 AJ Moir Stakes (1000m), while the Bill Stutt Stakes is the key support act on the card along with the Group 2 Stocks Stakes (1600m) for the mares, Group 3 Scarborough Stakes (1200m) for three-year-old fillies and the Group 3 JRA Cup (2040m) for potential Group 1-bound staying types. - To Win: #1 Griff ($3.40 at time of publish) – BET NOW
Happy to stick with the favourite Griff who remains decent value to secure back-to-back wins. The Trapeze Artist colt enjoyed his second career win at start number six last time out in Flemington’s Listed Exford Plate (1400m) and now goes up to a mile for the first time. Needs to handle the distance and his first go around The Valley, but he is well placed here and going good enough to suggest he can salute for the punter staying out of the hustle from the wider alley early stages before a strong finish.
