2025 Craven Plate Tips

Our Ladbrokes’ insider Craven Plate 2021 betting tips and Randwick racing selections will be detailed below the week of the race so bookmark this page for the stayers to back and sack in the potential Cox Plate lead-up this spring.

To Win: No. 1 Lindermann

Yeah, he’s odds-on and there’s not a heap of value left, but in a skinny field like this, it’s hard to go past LINDERMANN (2). Chris Waller’s Lonhro gelding is absolutely humming, winning two of his last three and mixing it with some serious company. He knocked off Sir Delius in the Chelmsford — and let’s not forget, that horse would’ve been Cox Plate favourite if not scratched on vet’s advice. Then he nearly pinched the $1 million 7 Stakes, just edged out by Fangirl, before bouncing back in style to dominate the $2 million Hill Stakes over 1900m. He rolled forward from a wide gate and put them away with authority. Now he drops back in trip and grade, Nash Rawiller stays in the saddle, and while there’s a bit more speed engaged this time, he’s the proven class act. The rest will need to find a new level to knock him off. Fit, flying, and hard to fault.
