Ladbrokes Tip: The Ladies’ Day Vase serves as a potential lead-up into the Group 1 Empire Rose Stakes.
The Ladies’ Day Vase is a 1600m mile race for older mares held at Caulfield Racecourse on a Saturday in mid-October as part of Caulfield Guineas Day.
It was previously run at a mid-week meeting for Thousand Guineas Day before a change-up to the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival dates and major race days ahead of the 2023 edition.

It serves as a potential lead-up to Flemington’s Group 1 Empire Rose Stakes (1600m) at Flemington on Victoria Derby Day.
Run and won since 1994 and gained its current Group 3 status in 2013.

- To Win: #8 Nunthorpe ($4.80 at time of publish) – BET NOW
Happy to tip this four-year-old Playing God mare to keep the wins coming for Peter Moody & Katherine Coleman. She chases a third win on the trot having won back-to-back Benchmark 84 races at the track in September over the 1400m. Up in grade and distance now at a mile. She is down in weight though and Damien Oliver jumps on in another plus. Can win again.
