- To Win: #5 Matisse ($7.50 at time of publish) – BET NOW
A typically even Prelude field with many of the fillies coming via the same lead-up races. Have landed on Matisse who will be improving second-up and gets space without being too wide out in gate eight for Michael Dee. Fresh she was fifth in the Group 3 Champagne Stakes at The Valley. Anthony & Sam Freedman’s daughter of Microphone was just under three lengths off the winner Bellatrix Star who franked the form with her excellent Group 2 Schillaci win last weekend. Matisse was third in the Blue Diamond Preview and Prelude races only a half-length off Hayasugi in both before running seventh in the big one only 2.7 lengths off that same filly in the Group 1. Can surprise a few with an improved run here.
