Take $2 For Australia to Win the Ashes!

The 2015 Ashes Series will officially get underway on Wednesday next week and to celebrate, we are upping the stakes on the Aussies winning the urn!

Australia lost three-consecutive series after Warnie, Pigeon and Gilly retired, but responded in the best way possible over the 2013/14 summer when delivering England a humiliating 5-0 series defeat; causing a massive internal disturbance and all but ending their reign as Test match leaders.

Australia is widely tipped to comfortably win the 2015 Ashes Series and remain odds-on favourites in betting markets to do so. From Monday, we’ll be offering the Aussies at $2 to win the urn! The squad is fit and the selectors are spoiled for choice with a plethora of fast bowlers and batsmen, so take advantage of our inflated odds!

Sophia Gardens in Wales will play host to the first match in the 2015 Ashes Series; taking the place of Manchester’s Old Trafford which has been left off the list of venues this time around.

England have found somewhat competitive form in the lead-up to the series, however Australia’s recent dominance in the five day format means the deserve to be rated clear favourites to begin their Ashes defence in the best way possible.

Australia has confirmed a 17-man squad for the 2015 Ashes Series, and while the likes of Michael Clarke, Steve Smith, Brad Haddin and Mitchell Johnson are certainties, some positions in the first XI remain very much open for consideration leading into the first test.

  • Steve Smith (vc)
  • Brad Haddin (wk)
  • Fawad Ahmed
  • Josh Hazlewood
  • Ryan Harris
  • Mitchell Johnson
  • Nathan Lyon
  • Mitchell Marsh
  • Shaun Marsh
  • Peter Nevill (wk)
  • Chris Rogers
  • Peter Siddle
  • Mitchell Starc
  • Adam Voges
  • David Warner
  • Shane Watson

The series will then move on to the home of cricket; the second Test scheduled to be played at Lord’s from July 16th-20th.

Lord’s was the scene of England’s greatest triumph during the 2013 Ashes Series, as a second-innings 180 to Joe Root led the way to a convincing 347 run victory.

Edgebaston in Birmingham will play host to the third test between England and Australia during the 2015 Ashes Series, while Nottingham’s Trent Bridge has been confirmed as the scene for the fourth.

Australia has been heavily supported to have sewn-up the urn by the time the 2015 Ashes Series reaches the fifth Test but whatever the result of the competition by that point, play will officially draw to a close at The Oval in London from the 20th-24th of August.

We’re offering the best odds on the widest range of markets as well as the most lucrative bonuses on all five tests during the 2015 Ashes Series!

Be sure to take advantage of $2 odds for Australia to win the Urn, available from Monday!
