We have had some incredible racing multi bets pay off recently, but our legendary punter this week is clearly a sports tragic and used his knowledge to turn an $80 investment into a serious win-fall!
Our punter was clearly confident in his selections, because all five were outsiders in their respective markets!
The ITM Cup; New Zealand’s premier provincial rugby tournament has been offering serious value in win-draw-win markets this season and our punter bolstered his bet with two folds from the competition, while also backing Aussie Rules teams and the result of a solitary NRL game.
Offered a quote of $165.24 for five legs, our punter’s $80 investment was turned into an incredible $13,219.20 in just over 24 hours!
The five leg multi began on Saturday afternoon when our punter’s first leg – the ITM Cup match between Northland and Taranaki got underway at Toll Stadium in Whangarei.
Our punter was confident Taranaki would win and win well, and was rewarded for his efforts when the side romped in a 50-7 victory to get the multi off to a perfect start.
Leg 1: Taranaki beat Northland (-20) at $3
Attention then turned to regional Aussie Rules early Sunday afternoon as SANFL sides Norwood and Central District met at the Adelaide Oval.
The Bulldogs started the match as $2.40 outsiders and our punter was again rewarded for his confidence when they ran away 12.7.79 – 4.11.35 victors.
Leg 2: Central District defeat Norwood at $2.40
The Greater Western Sydney Giants contested easily their best season on record in 2015 and while just missing the cut-off for the finals, were favourites to beat Melbourne in their final fixture at Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The Demons clearly wanted to take something into their mad Monday celebrations however, and rewarded our punter’s courage with a 15/13/103 – 11.11.77 upset win.
Leg 3: Melbourne beats GWS at $2.40
Focus then returned across the Tasman to our punter’s second ITM Cup selection – the Bay of Plenty to defeat Counties Manukau away from home.
The match was a particularly well-contested affair and BOP were able to make the most of an early lead; holding on for a 37-26 win.
Leg 4: Bay of Plenty defeat Counties Manukau at $3.75
Our punter should have been full of confidence after his outsiders had all saluted leading into the final fold, but one thing that has been abundantly clear from their results this season is the Canberra Raiders cannot be trusted from a betting standpoint.
He would have been particularly worried when the green machine were trailing with only minutes to go, but a Jarrod Croker kick followed by an extra time try to hooker Josh Hodgson sealed the incredible win-fall and made for a memorable Sunday night.
Leg 5: Canberra beat the Eels at $2.55
