The NBA and NHL seasons are both now well underway and that means that fans of both sports have a wide range of betting opportunities every single day!

One of our savvier punters has got off to a flyer in both the NHL and NBA this season and he stung us with a multi across both sports over the weekend.

This punter started his multi with an outright bet on the New York Rangers to beat the St Louis Blues at a quote of $1.83.

The Rangers got off to a flying start and took a 3-0 lead in the first period and although the Rams were able to get it back to within a goal on two occasions, the Rangers proved too strong in the final period and scored a 6-3 victory.

His second leg was easily his riskiest as he backed the Washington Capitals -1.5 goals to beat the Philadelphia Flyers at the inflated odds of $2.90.

The Flyers opened the scoring and then took a 2-1 lead in the second period, but the Capitals came home with a wet sail to record a 5-2 victory and keep the multi alive.

Our punter selected the Minnesota Wild to beat the Carolina Hurricanes as the third leg of his multi and the Wild started as dominant $1.36 favourites, but he was forced to live through an absolute nail biter.

The Hurricanes took a 2-0 lead early before the Wild equalised in the second period, but neither side were able to break the deadlock in the third period and we went to overtime, where a Jason Zucker goal was enough to keep our punter in the hunt.

He survived yet another thriller in the fourth leg after backing the Vancouver Canucks with a headstart of 1.5 goals to cover the puck line against the Ottawa Senators.

The Senators were leading 3 goals to one with less than 30 seconds left to play, but a late Canucks goals delivered them a 3-2 loss, but it was still enough to send our punter through to the final leg.

The Golden State Warriors have been absolutely flawless during the NBA season to date and our punter added the defending NBA champions to what had previously been an NHL multi.

The Warriors skipped away to an early lead against the Minnesota Timberwolves and they never looked like losing, with their comfortable 14 point lead delivering this punter a return of $87,828.20.
