The number 13 is unlucky for some, but it was very lucky for one of our punters, who turned $10 into $4815.30 with an outstanding 13 leg multi.
This punter obviously loves his Saturday morning NBA and he had nine separate legs that just about covered all of the NBA games on this day.
The Memphis Grizzlies ($1.42 against the Denver Nuggets), Cleveland Cavaliers ($1.17 against the Minnesota Timberwolves), Miami Heat ($1.48 against the Phoenix Suns), Golden State Warriors ($1.17 against the Portland Trail Blazers), Indiana Pacers ($1.77 against New Orleans Pelicans), Toronto Raptors ($1.80 against Washington Wizards) and Orlando Magic ($1.57 against the Brooklyn Nets) were all able to get the job done easily, but our punter was still forced to survive some nervous moments during Saturday’s NBA games.
The San Antonio Spurs are one of the most reliable betting teams in the NBA and they started as $1.05 favourites against the New York Knicks, but the game were down to the final buzzer and the Spurs only narrowly got the job done by a single point
The Oklahoma City Thunder also started as $1.05 favourites, but they were pushed all the way by the Los Angeles Lakers before they eventually scored a close win to keep our punters hopes alive.
Our punter then turned his attention to the FA Cup action and it was at this point where he started getting very aggressive.
He played it safe when he backed Arsenal to beat Sunderland at $1.29 and they got the job done comfortably, while Manchester City ($1.73) never looked like losing to Norwich, but he really took a risk in the final two legs of his multi.
Our punter took the $4 on offer for a draw in the game between Leicester City and Tottenham and that bet did not look great when Tottenham scored an early goal, but Leicester City were able to equalise with their first chance of the game.
Leicester took the lead themselves in the second half before Tottenham scored an equaliser on their own to get our punter within one leg of $4815.30.
It all came down to the FA Cup clash between Bolton Wanderers and Eastleigh FC – who currently play their football in the National League – the fifth tier of English football.
Normally an FA Cup Fixture between a Championship side and a non-professional outfit only ends one way, but Eastleigh were able to tough out a draw, which paid $3.40, to deliver our legendary punter a massive windfall of $4815.30!
