THE BMW (Rosehill Race 7)
Concerns over the fitness of Lee Freedman’s star import, OUR IVANHOWE, has only been a slight worry for punters with the former German entire still a solid second favourite.
The six year old has eased only slightly, from $4.40 out to $4.80, amid revelations he was tender in his off fore hoof. He’s improved overnight and will be vetted in the morning before taking part in the $1.5 million dollar feature.
While OUR IVANHOWE has eased, the best backed runner in the race has been bottom weight MONTAIGNE, who ran second last week behind the super impressive TARZINO in the Rosehill Guineas.
The three year old has been $12 in to $10 with one Ladbrokes punter so bullish he can upstage the older horses, he’s bet of $3k at $11.
Preferment, fresh from a group one win on protest in the Australian Guineas last start, has been a steady favourite at the $3.20 and should settle around that mark and remain top of the market by race start.
New Zealand import and last year’s Caulfield Cup winner, Mongolian Khan, gets back to his pet distance of 2400m and has been another rock solid runner in the market at $5.50.
Former Kiwi galloper RISING ROMANCE has been the most notable drifter, out from $8.50 to $10.

VINERY STUD STAKES (Rosehill Race 6)
The best three year old fillies in the land contest this group one and last year’s Crown Oakes winner JAMEKA continues to hold favouritism despite some conjecture as to whether she’ll run or instead opt for the Australian Derby and a rematch with TARZINO next week.
Relative long shot, BELIEVE, has been among the best backed runners and is Ladbrokes worst result should the Cumming’s trained filly salute.
She’s been $41 in to $21 on the back of a stead stream of bets around the $500 mark.
Second favourite RISQUE has been relatively unwanted in comparison to JAMEKA and has drifted from $3.60 out to $3.80.
HAPPY HANNAH is on the hunt for three wins in succession and despite the rise in grade to group one level has been reasonably solid as third favourite, firming from $6 in to $5.50.
