Sports Biggest Show-Offs

Sports Biggest Show-Offs

The saga of the possible superfight between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor took another turn this morning when the UFC Featherweight Champion took his bragging to a new level.

McGregor posted on Instagram that he smells like a brand new car, called himself the face of Rolls Royce and then asked Mayweather what he was going to do!

McGregor has now firmly established himself as one of sport’s great show-offs and he tops this list of other athletes that are not afraid to show off either their wealth or their talents!

Conor McGregor

Conor McGregor brings up how much money he is making in just about every interview or press conference that he does – with the highlight generally being when he asked his opponent to thank him for making them rich.

McGregor loves showing off his growing collection of luxury cars, but this video of him taking fans on a tour of his mansion is particularly great and the best part comes at the end when he says he will tear it to the ground after he wins his next fight.

Floyd Mayweather

They don’t call him money for nothing.

Floyd Mayweather is the highest paid athlete in the world and he is not afraid to show off his incredible wealth!

There are countless videos on YouTube of Floyd Mayweather playing with more money than the majority of us will make in our lifetime and he particularly loves to show off following one of his big gambling ‘wins’.

Shane Warne

Shane Warne used to come across as a fairly down to earth bloke, but there is little doubt that he has changed significantly following his retirement from cricket.

Warne has embraced the celebrity lifestyle in outstanding fashion in recent years – there is no way that he hasn’t had some work done – and watching him show off this painting off his fantasy pool party is a thing of beauty.

Notice that he is teaching Bruce Springsteen how to bowl a leg break and he calls Chris Martin one of his best mates!

Warwick Capper

I am extremely confident that Warwick Capper is the poorest person on this list, but he is still not afraid to show off what has basically become the Warwick Capper brand.

Whether it be his success with the ladies, his good looks, his ability as a goal-kicker, the size of his manhood or his latest business venture – Capper never shys away from a chance to put himself in the spotlight.

Shaquille O’Neill

Shaquille O’Neill is an amazing man and if anybody deserves to be filthy rich it is him.

Baseketball fans all know that Shaquille O’Neill made his money playing in college, but he has clearly invested well and his house is nothing short of a fantasy.

The bloke in the video below got to live what is now my life dream – getting taught how to use a hoverboard by Shaquille O’Neill.

Nick Kyrgios

There  are a couple of things that Nick Kyrgios is not afraid to show off – his foul mouth and his swagger.

Kyrgios is the rock star that has been missing from tennis for some time and he is up front with the fact that he acts more like a professional basketball player than a professional tennis player.

Could you imagine Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic or ever Lleyton Hewitt staring in a Beats By Dre Ad?

Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo has definitely mellowed as he has got older and he now limits his tantrums to just the one per training session or game, but he is still a show-off with the ladies.

Ronaldo wastes no time getting his lid off whenever he gets the chance and this – admittedly weird – video shows just how much luck that the Portuguese superstar has had with the ladies over the years.

Usain Bolt

Usain Bolt is the most likeable athlete on this list, but he is still one of the biggest showoffs in sport – just like I would be if I could run half as fast as he can.

When you go and watch Bolt run you are not just getting to watch a running race, you are getting an entire performance.

From the way he walks out to the track, his little dance when his name is announced and even the way that he crosses the line – there is nobody in world sport with the showmanship of Usain Bolt.

Chris Gayle

Where do you even start with Chris Gayle?

The bloke has become a parody of himself in recent years, but he seems to love every minute of it as well as the party lifestyle that appears to be alive on the Twenty20 circuit.

Below is an outstanding video of Chris Gayle celebrating a win in the Caribbean Premier League, with what I imagine is the party that he hosts every single night!

Mario Balotelli

Mario Balotelli has had very little success on the football pitch in recent years and he is set to return to Liverpool – where just about everybody hates him – after he failed to secure a full-time move to Milan after a year on loan.

One of the many reasons that Balotelli is so disliked by the Liverpool faithful is that he is one of the biggest showboats in professional football, which is saying something!
