Both these teams can be limited in attack – especially the St George Illawarra Dragons – and I expect this to be a grinding contest. Unders has saluted in nine of the past 14 games played by the Dragons, while the Bulldogs are an inconsistent outfit. They could blow the Dragons off the park, but even then I am confident that they would not cover the over/under line of 40.5 points.
The Western Bulldogs have been cruelled by another serious injury and their recent record against Geelong is very average, but they can cause a surprise in this Friday Night Blockbuster. The Cats have not been a strong betting side this season – they are 7-10 against the line – while the Western Bulldogs have suffered back-to-back defeats just once in the past 12 months.
Wigan are set to start this contest as clear favourites, but it is Hull FC that finished the regular season on top of the English Super League ladder and they won the past game played between these two sides. I expect this to be a very tight contest that could go either way, but there is genuine value in the $2.20 on offer for a Hull FC victory.
Durham will start this clash as clear favourites, but it is actually Derbyshire that have a superior record in the T20 Blast this season. The two teams have won the same number of games, but Derbyshire have a superior net run rate and a more explosive outfit. They are great value at their current quote.
