There is not as much between these two teams as the current betting market suggests. Waikato are a better side than their results have indicated this season and while the same can be said about Counties Manukau it is Waikato that have the most upside and represent the real value in this betting market.
Geelong will start this preliminary final as clear favourites, but they have generally underperformed in this scenario during the 2016 AFL season. Sydney are a side that is absolutely packed full of big-game experience and they could hardly have been more impressive against Adelaide. The Swans are a much better chance than their odds suggest.
This is another game in which there is very little between the two teams. Cronulla have the benefit of the home-field advantage and their record in Sydney has been excellent this season. North Queensland have been the exact opposite in 2016 and they have won just five of their ten games as away favourites this season.
Leeds Rhinos have been extremely poor in the Super League this season, but they continue to be overrated in betting markets. Leigh have not lost a game during the Super 8s stage of the competition and they will be keen to finish the season with a victory over their more fancied rivals. They are an outstanding bet with a 9.5 points start.
