Queensland currently sit on top of the Matador Cup ladder, but it is fair to say that they were lucky against Tasmania and only average against the Cricket Australia XI. Western Australia tied their first game with South Australia, but there is plenty of talent in this squad and they are a better side than that performance suggests.
This will be the Brisbane Bullets first game in the NBL since 2008 and they face a tough assignment against the defending champion Perth Wildcats. The Wildcats were 4-4 against the line as away favourites last season, but they should prove too polished for a Bullets outfit that are sure to improve as they get further into the season.
Australia have made an excellent start to the third stage of their World Cup qualifying campaign and they look to be a class above Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia have won their past two games, but they did not play great football in either and they were up against much weaker outfits than the Socceroos.
Wales showed during Euro 2016 that they are more than capable of mixing it with the best teams in Europe, while Austria were extremely disappointing. Wales have easily the best player in this game in the form of Gareth Bale and their counter-attacking style will be perfect against an Austrian outfit that can be shaky at the back.
