Canterbury have been the dominant team during the Mitre 10 Cup season to date and they should have no problems accounting for what is a fairly average North Harbour side. Canterbury have had no problems putting up very big scores against their weaker opposition and the line of 21.5 points will not be enough.
Melbourne United are favourites to claim the NBL Championship this season, but winning away from home against the New Zealand Breakers is much easier said than done. The Breakers won 13 of their 16 home games last season, while Melbourne United were not particularly impressive away from home.
The A-League season gets underway with a very exciting clash between the Brisbane Roar and Melbourne Victory. Home ground advantage has proven crucial in games played between these two sides and the Roar have been absolutely outstanding in front of their home fans in the past 12 months, while the Victory have a very poor record against Suncorp Stadium.
Hungary showed during Euro 2016 that they are capable of playing quality football and they will fancy their chances of taking at least a point from their World Cup Qualifier against Switzerland. Switzerland will go into this game with a conservative mindset and they often find it difficult to break down their opposition. A low-scoring draw looks extremely likely.
